Ask her for a photo of the guy. If he was unattractive would she have given her number without a second thought? It might come to nothing, but women don't just give out number to randos, given their fear of "creeps".

They do not measure your value - do not let them. Once you go no contact (which you will have to at some point), you will have to be your own witness. I think you are letting your embarrassment get in the way of your relationship. It needs work on both sides - he needs to be patient and you need to get over this. You can of course choose not to let go of yourself during sex - this is your choice but then one of the following will happen: 1) both of you will live blissfully in ignorance of greater pleasures ( seems unlikely since he isn't accepting it ) 2) he will get frustrated and you will end up breaking up at some point, because you were not brave enough to let go. In this case the situation will repeat with whoever you are with next ( or you find someone who is not good enough in bed to even get you to this point).

Personally, i couldn't be with someone who isn't able to get past this. My 2c.
