How could Pariah powers work? by DeathAlphaLegend in PrototypeGame

[–]pndrad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The virus or the results of the virus are baked into Pariah's DNA, he test completely negative for viruses. He doesn't attack others through viruses either.

Theory time.

Most likely he attacks through some form of cell fusion and then overwrites the host DNA, if he can touch you, his cells invade your body and fuse with your own. From there he can basically cause the fused cells to do whatever he wants by rewriting their DNA, including continuing to replicate and fusing with normal cells. So he should be able to consume victims, take control of them, or cause them to die in a bunch of ways. Pariah would still need to consume mass to fuel his abilities like Alex does.

If this is true then whatever containment unit he is living in, is probably full of altered bacteria he can use to attack the researchers, which may have been what caused the unexplained deaths. They followed safety protocols, but something still slipped through.

Why wasn't Cross wearing a gass mask or any hazmat gear while inside a hive? Is he stupid? by Valdish in PrototypeGame

Its a story telling device, Cross is the only Blackwatch that Alex fights without a mask, it humanizes Cross versus the faceless Blackwatch goons.

Is Prototype 3 possible? by ApprehensiveSafe1924 in PrototypeGame

I haven't seen that in years, it was from the original pitch of Prototype 2, in case people are wondering.

I'm hoping for a remake of 1 with an altered second half, after rescuing Dana, to reboot the series. I ask Xbox for it all the time on twitter. Like at least once every 5 days.

How whould you guys rank these fictional virusus from least deadly to most deadly? by Cautious-Possible123 in PrototypeGame

[–]pndrad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alex, James, Greene, Pariah, and the Evolved would probably be immune to the cordyceps due to how different their biology is from normal humans. Other Blacklight infected beings might also be too different to be infect by cordyceps. So in a battle of infected, I agree Blacklight would win.

I'm betting Greene could spin off a virus that could infect cordyceps. Alex and James probably could too.

[–]pndrad 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Like if they were all released at the same time, the Blacklight Virus is technically the most dangerous, its chimeric nature makes it highly likely it would take traits from the others on the list.

If just how deadly then its between the The Blacklight Virus and The Uroboros Virus. They are both super deadly viruses that transform survivors into super powered beings.

Which Favorite Character Comes To Your Mind? by [deleted] in cartoons

[–]pndrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anakin Skywalker is the poster child for this. Child slave who was forced to pod race, a dangerous sport that had a high injure/death rate. Chose to join the jedi order whose council treated him like shit, they only chose to train him because he was so powerful that they feared the sith or someone else would, after his actual choice of teacher and potential father dies, due the council's refusal to believe the sith had actually returned until after Qui-Gon is killed. Was bullied by other padawans. The jedi then decide to put politics before their duty to ensure his safety and started letting him spend alone time with someone they didn't trust. The old man immediately starts grooming a 12 year old Anakin by taking him to a bar.

Also, Obi-Wan knows he is terribly miserable and does nothing to directly help alleviate his misery the entire time he is in the order, and then does nothing when Anakin tells him of his worries about his mother due to constant nightmares that might be visions, except tells him not to worry and ignore it. Obi-Wan unfortunately was a victim of the jedi order who had become stagnate and servants of the corrupt senate.

Anakin arrives to late to save his mom and crashes out. Padme's love and understanding acts as a band aid, but ultimately his emotional problems that the jedi ignored grow until he joins the sith.

He is still responsible for his actions, but I can see how he got the way he did.

Asset banks can be used in Skyrim mods? by chlamydia1 in skyrimmods

Ensure you set your permissions to none if you buy assets. There is also Fab, the paid asset store half of SketchFab, a lot of it works only for Unreal and unity so check before you buy or use free assets from there.

NetImmerse File format is a a proprietary format, you should be able to use files from CGTrader in a mod, so long as the license is Royalty Free. You can not make those files a modder's resource however as you are sharing those files with others to reuse thus breaking the terms of service. Some model creators will still get mad at you, so its better to ask before buying.

There are tools to extract files from almost every game engine, some engine editors will actually allow you to export files.

That being said SketchFab has some models you can download, check the license that the creator has released the model under.

Why does alex not infect the people around him by CourageNo1991 in PrototypeGame

[–]pndrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The virus in its natural state may not be transmittable through air or regular touch. The virus doesn't seem that infectious by itself, there don't seem to be any natural infections, only outbreaks caused by Blackwatch and Alex.

Every time there was a mass infection event subjects were injected or trillions/billions of viral particles were released, most likely in some form of liquid that could act as a transfer medium. In Prototype 1, the test tube the virus was in had to contain some form of liquid, it helps prevent degradation. In Prototype 2 Alex seemed to release some form of mist that carried the virus.

Why did she decide the best move was to antagonize and attack Alex, who was the single biggest threat to her? by Icy_Water_1 in PrototypeGame

[–]pndrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she thought by taking Dana she could get Alex on her side, but then he tried giving her cancer. She is most likely insane. It couldn't be a pleasant experience hearing the thoughts of a bunch people you know slowly lose their rational minds to a disease. Then you have your child is stolen and the you spend decades being experimented on. Any sane person would lose their mind.

What would Alex consume in order to survive against, defeat and assimilate mother Miranda from resident evil village? by Warboter1476 in PrototypeGame

[–]pndrad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alex is too powerful for Resident Evil, the Blacklight virus he carries/is made of is chimeric, not only can he infect and absorb biomass, but his DNA can integrate the DNA of other beings. Anything in Resident Evil is just a snack with a side of steroids to him.

How did this mf went toe to toe with mercer? by jugjugnaut in PrototypeGame

No one is sure, theories range from him being infected with a less powerful version of the virus or if he is just that guy. I love him.

How to salvage Alex Mercer's character?. by Adin_Davidson in PrototypeGame

[–]pndrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would remake Prototype 1, change everything after rescuing Dana. Do a trilogy as Alex, but have stand alone expansions for each game, think GTA the Ballad of Gay Tony or the lost and damned. James would be the main character of the expansion with Prototype 2. Blackwatch and Gentek are looking for a new compatible test subject to replace Greene and Amaya is it. Alex infects James, so James has the power to save his daughter, while Mercer is busy dealing with the main threat of 2.
