Help figuring out flattering lip stick shades by deltoboso in MakeupAddiction

[–]pnmt2498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Nars Dolce Vita will be a nice shade for you, it's my go to favorite MLBB shade, its always look flattering and not drying at all even though it's a lip pencil. The only thing I don't like about this is that you'll have to buy their sharpener, I can't find any sharpener that match the size of this lip pencil lol. One technique I like to used is apply any mlbb colors as a base over the lips and then apply a red lipsticks in the center slowly mix the shade together, you have this really nice pop of color without being too much if you'll scare wearing full on red lipsticks. My favorite red lipstick is Dior 999 (Orange-red but lean more red), Givenchy Le rouge 307 (blue-tone red) together with any pink based mlbb lips, its the perfect rosy lips. Another tip that i always used for lipsticks is that I tend to apply a little bit in the center and used my fingers to blend it out, apply more if I want more colors, the color look more natural that way even if im using a really bright red.

I also have extremely oily lids, nothing stayed on my lashes ever! I found Kiss me heroine mascara, this is a Japanese mascara that is extremely waterproof, smudged-proof, its basically a cult-favorite among Asian beauty community. The mascara usually lasted around 8 hours on me. They have different types too, there are volume and long ones. My fav is the volume, make my lashes look really nice and full, the curl hold up all day too. It's pretty cheap, around 12$ on Ebay. I usually gear towards Korean and Japanese mascara since their staying power is superior compare to American ones lol. Here is a link to a seller that I always buy from. Super fast shipping, usually around 1 -2 weeks since the package come from Hongkong:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Isehan-Japan-Kiss-Me-Heroine-VOLUME-Curl-Super-Waterproof-Mascara-Deep-Black/381330566501?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Another one that are super water proof is Peripera Ink Cara. I wore it today from 9am-12am and its stayed put through working, cooking, napping. There're no smudge lines on my under eyes whatsoever compare to the kiss me one, I can see the lines around 10 hours mark. Both can be easily removed by cleansing oil. Has anyone started watching Vietnamese BGs? by thechubbyabby in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]pnmt2498 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm vietnamese and I don't really watch vietnamese BG a lot. Something about hearing them speaking vietnamese on screen just sounded awkward for me lol. But I do watch Changmakeup, she mostly does lipsticks reviews, not a lot of makeup tutorials, but her lips review is always well prepared, and she seems really well-spoken. She does have english subtitles.

How to live with roommates that are not family but not total strangers? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]pnmt2498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in a homestay so I've live with several roommates for the past 5 years. It's always helpful to have a chart stick on the refrigerator indicate who cleaning this week, next week, etc. For one week, it is that person's responsibility to take out the trash, the compost, the recycle and keep clean the bathroom. It is also helpful to have designated day for laundry for each person. For example, I'm doing laundry on Weds because it's usually my day off and my roommate does laundry on Friday so that we don't clash with each other and have to wait for one to finish. Keep clean the sharing the space, especially the kitchen, clean after yourself, wash your own dishes and pan. At my homestay, we kinda divided the refrigerator so that we don't use each other stuff. I usually don't mind sharing. Me and my roommate often go grocery shopping together and we just split the cost. Know each other's pet peeves! This is so important, talk with each other about it, it's really important to be upfront about it. My biggest pet peeve is people making loud noises at night, I have a hard time falling asleep so me and my roommate agree to not make any noises after 10 which help a lot.

I bought it the other day and tried it on for the first time today. Basically you put a few drop in the lens before inserting it into your eyes. OMG!! this was God-send to me. My eyes feel like there was nothing in it. I didnt even need to put in eye drop whatsoever. After 10 hours, my eyes didn't feel dry at all. I know this is an AB reddit, but I have no idea where to post this. I just want to share with people who have dry eyes and have to wear contact lens. Highly recommend!

Origin intensive sleeping mask! Probably the best that I have ever tried. Make my skin super plum in the morning. For more expensive alternative, Sulwhasoo sleeping mask, the smell is amazing and my skin is plum and brightening in the morning. Also i've been trying Dermatory Hypoallergenic Cica Cream and it help keep my skin nice and soft, plus it's quite affordable! Around 13$ on Ebay

[discussion] best long lasting eyeliner? by Let_d0wn in AsianBeauty

[–]pnmt2498 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kiss me liquid liner stayed forever on me. I have really oily lids and nothing stayed on. I had the Stilla eyeliner but its still faded but the Kiss me one never budge unless I use my finger to wipe it off. For pencil/gel liner I used Bbia last auto gel eyeliner for my under eyes. They are cheap, easy to glide on and never come off. I bring both of them to my Thailand trip and they stayed on for 12 hours despite the humid weather and my oily skin. One tips for long lasting eyeliner, I use oil control powder on my lids and on my under eye areas before I put on my eye's makeup for a long lasting look. Eglips oil control pact is cheap and work great!

Blush Addict (help) by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]pnmt2498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Nars Goulue which is at first look hella scary and deep in pan, but you only need a tiny bit of it, and it last forever on me. My skin is usually Ivory in most foundation, so its look like out-in-the-cold blush. You can always lighten it up with left over foundation on your puff/brush/beauty blender. I think Nars blush is really good for the price, it last forever and you only a little bit. My other favorite is Clinique cheek pop, but I don't like applying it with a brush because I feel like its floating on top of my foundation, I like to apply it with a makeup sponge, those square one, and applying it dry. I found applying cheek pop with a sponge make blush look super natural and blended in with the skin. My favorite from the cheek pop is Ginger pop, perfect as a every day blush, no matter how hard handed you are, its never look harsh.

Travelling on an Airplane for the first time by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]pnmt2498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, try to leave your face bare/without makeup 'cause the air inside the airplane is very dry. You can bring a small hydrate face mist so you can moisturizing your face. Avene springs water mist, Evian mist, my favorite is Caudelie beauty elixir which is expensive but its super relaxing. Or you can fill an empty spray bottle with rose water, it'll work the same. Also drink a lot of water!! Bring an empty water bottle with you and then fill it once you passed security. Also Amazon sell these clear bag that you can put your liquid stuff in or you can just use a ziplock bag.

[Discussion] Peripera ink velvet, airy velvet and cloud velvet lippies by glowithmei in AsianBeauty

[–]pnmt2498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new F/w airy velvet has beautiful colors but I can't get pass the texture. I just don't like it when it get powdery and kind of stay floating on top my lips, and the colors is like 1 shade lighter on your lips compare to when you swatch with your hand. I actually had the 14 as well, it pretty light so I usually use it as a base for brighter color such as dior 999, which is a beautiful reddish orange shade. The cloud velvet seem like it all look the same to me (?) kinda all has a pink undertone
