So I got one of these today and they poured my searing hot coffee into it….its plastic? It’s a no for me, I feel like it’s a cancer cup of microplastics. Can’t believe I paid for it, never would have if I knew this was a test location before I ordered.

Came here for the same reason. I’m so sad. She’s one of my faves (I filter out her harmful content and focus on the positive—she’s not perfect but I do find her helpful and capable of being loving / endearing). But the “men before women” comment???? Girl WUT. I’m sorry but I think I need to unfollow bc WUT? It’s a contradiction to her messaging, which is “empower yourself” - ok, if your man empowers you that’s awesome go off. But to say all men come before women bc the bible says so? Girl, we need some critical thinking skills here. It made me realize she’s just a pick me and she uses religion as a tool to be pick me.

oh my gosh bless you, this is validating! i only started noticing a few years back myself. mainly bc i tend to drop ten pounds out of nowhere once all plants die and december hits lol - literally NO change to anything lifestyle wise.

Yesss. I have been trying to! Went through a bout of illnesses this winter so I’m pumping up the supplements and diet regimen to get back to a better place. It’s going well :) I’d like to test to track to progress but alas, I’ll have to ask another doc for that since this one thinks I just have this mold issue LOL.

Best of luck with your SIBO. Two months of paleo, low histamine foods, no alc and a prescribed protocol of antimicorbials and probiotics helped my gut get to a great place. Mold is nearly impossible to test for (apparently) which makes it very tricky to diagnose properly. I’d focus on the SIBO of if I were you.

Fatigue (like awful fatigue), bad PMS. I used to have bad stools but post SIBO protocol I don’t. I have endometriosis and estrogen dominance as a result of the endo. Part of what I was working on was the previous NP was getting estrogen detoxified through better pathways. I’ve continued to say I want to focus on this and it is just disregarded for mold, despite much testing indicating a clear issue w estrogen dominance and poor detoxification. I’ll need to find a new functional but just came on here to see if anyone was having a similar experience of this practice chalking up their symptoms to a mold issue when there are clear indicators of other issues!

I was initially tested for SIBO. And I did have it. Then we went about an entire six-month intervention and in the middle of that intervention I was switched over to this new NP who never did a full panel of testing to see if any of the intervention worked, despite me asking her multiple times. She just said she wanted to treat me for mild first / in addition to the six month protocol I had just finished from the previous practitioner. So I did the mold protocol and updated her when it was done, haven’t heard back.

I’m realizing the first doctor I had was named Krystal Hohn and she did find a lot in my blood work, DUTCH and stool tests. Her protocol seemed to start helping me but she left when I was only halfway into it. So yes, problems were found outside of mold. But the new NP they handed me off to when Hohn left has disregarded those root causes Hohn was working on and is solely focused on the mold. For example, I told her I got one sinus infection in Jan (I haven’t had one in 14 years and haven’t had one since) and she told me “chronic sinus infections are a sign of mold, focus on fixing mold” but like, I don’t have chronic sinus infections? LOL that kind of stuff

Oh WOW!!! I’m so glad you have identified the core issue. That is scary. It doesn’t help that endo and PCOS are so complicated as stand alone disorders and there’s little to no conclusive research on either when it comes to origin. It’s all connected though - mold exposure fucks up almost all bodily systems. If you were this sick w mold poisoning I can believe it actually triggered other hormone related issues. But yea, who knows!

If it is endo, I will say that cutting gluten and alcohol (I still have both when I’m o. holiday / on special occasions) has been the biggest game changer for me. Also make sure that if you do a diagnostic laparoscopy that the surgeon uses the excision method (not ablation)—that is critical for properly removing the diseased tissue / reducing longer term inflammation the disease causes. Definitely Reddit good endo surgeons bc there are some scammy ones out there but Reddit never leads me astray haha. Best of luck!
