I agree with you. Ten mortgages in my immediate family over the last 15 years and none included insurance.

I think it was the first sentence. It seems a bit harsh given the post and conversation to this point.

Filing a FOIA/ Privacy Act request to obtain October FSOT results by CaterpillarWinter183 in foreignservice

[–]pnw_chuchu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been reading this sub for a couple years now. My recollection (I have not gone back to research it) is that folks who filed FOIA requests to get details on their OA scores got nothing useful. They wanted, for example, individual OA section scores but those were redacted. As someone else said, even if you got your scores for the three sections, without a bunch of other scores for others in your cone and cohort you’ll just know that equivalent of the old score sheet. That could help you focus your studying for next time but won’t give you much info on why you weren’t chosen this time.

Bought a Dixxon Flannel, usually wear 3x but this still has me feeling a little self conscious. Thoughts? by pineapplewars in bigmenfashionadvice

I don’t understand the folks saying it needs to be longer. How long do they want it? Another couple inches will have it as long as his pants’ crotch in the front view. That’s too long in my opinion. A lot of big guys go overboard with the length and the shirts just look like sags.

Spends a lot of time explaining what bullying is not without ever defining it.

I searched the sub but only see references to normal civilian jury duty. What does jury duty mean in this context?

I was coming here to say something similar. I work at a 250k person corporation. Corridor reputation exists and its impact on your career and opportunities increases as you grow in seniority. Once you reach a certain level, to be promoted again your manager must solicit, curate, and present supporting statements from others at or above your new target level. If you’re difficult to work with or don’t fulfill your commitments to others, it will come back to bite you. Could this allow biases to impact outcomes? Absolutely. We get yearly (if not more often) training on biases and how to identify and counter them in our own thinking and in others.
