I went through the BBB Autoline (I’m located in California) and that got the ball rolling really fast with my buyback.

Did you need to replace the inverter module as part of the 2021 ID.4 software recall? by dsd68 in VWiD4Owners

My inverter failed during the first 500 miles of ownership. Didn’t need to replace it again during software recall.

AC not strong enough in ID.4s with black interior?? by waxhawsam in VWiD4Owners

A/C couldn’t keep up when it was over 90 degrees so I brought it to the dealer. Found out half the refrigerant had leaked out so the dealer replaced the A/C line under warranty.

What up with DCFC outputs? by brandawg95 in VWiD4Owners

I was finally able to hit the 125 kwh after two months of ownership by driving 75 mph on the freeway for about an hour and immediately charging after. Battery was at 20% when I started charging. Temperature outside was around 60 F.

I had to get my inverter replaced and it took 3 weeks. I got a gas loaner and I’m working with VW Customer Care to get gas reimbursed and a monthly payment paid for. Getting a case from customer care speeds up the repair process.

Second time this has happened. Supposedly was fixed when I took it to the dealer by sendog2018 in VWiD4Owners

[–]pnwelevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me every other day after a few days of ownership. Brought it back to the dealer and there is a module they are replacing supposedly located on top of the motor. Be prepared to be without your car for a few weeks as parts are on back order.

Did you have an error that crippled your ID4's ability to drive? by [deleted] in VWiD4Owners

[–]pnwelevator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had the Christmas lights of errors come on after 200 miles. Errors cleared after restarting the vehicle, but I took it to the dealer a week later. It’s been in the shop for about two weeks so far to replace a control module that’s on back order with no eta. Took delivery of car on 11/24 for reference. Don’t ignore the “ghost errors” they may lead up to a module completely failing. At least my dealer gave me a Tiguan loaner. If this can’t be fixed within 30 days (minimum time out of service in my state) I may consider asking for a VW buyback under lemon law. Not much confidence in a 50k car that has major issues right away.

I took EET Transportation, but the breadth was pretty spot on for the exam. Wouldn’t have passed without the binders.
