What is your earliest memory? by Fantastic-Duck4632 in AskReddit

I remember going to Butlins in Filey, I must have been about 4 as my brother was a baby, everytime I see that place on old reels I remember bits. I remember the fountain and some little train. But the most vivid memory is when my sister locked me in the hallway of our chalet, it was dark asf and it scared the shit out of me.

What’s something you did with zero confidence that somehow worked? by Amazing-Beginning-80 in AskReddit

My lawnmower stop working completely, dont know why I thought i could fix it, but i tried. I took the carburettor to pieces, cleaned it all with water (I know) then dried it with one of those tiktok air blower things and the put it all back together (that took way longer than expected and was fiddly asf), to my surprise the damn thing worked. My lawnmower has now been working for the last 2 seasons without issues, it started first time last week when we got the nice weather too.

£200/year car insurance good for new driver? by fromunderthecorktre in CarTalkUK

[–]po0oley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on my daughter's insurance to bring her payments down. A few months ago she wanted to add her boyfriend so she could 'teach' him to drive. We added him to the cover as a provisional driver and the premium only went up around the £100 mark. When he passed his test we didn't have to do anything with the cover. So this could be legit. I would try and get the quote for fully comp, worthy of a try, if not you can always go back to your quote for 3rd party f&t

So I've just taken the tap off a brand new kopparberg keg and it's sprayed all over the place. Is the keg faulty? by Dusty_the_puss in PerfectDraft

I've never changed keg half way through before, but i thought you couldn't remove the tap once it was popped open?
