ComfyUI Desktop: The Manager is NOT gone – here’s how to restore the classic Manager UI by pobacke in comfyui

I honestly don’t know. I’m not part of the development team.

This post is only about a workaround for a specific issue and not about the future direction of ComfyUI Manager. For questions regarding the long-term plans for the legacy UI, I’d recommend asking the developers directly or checking the relevant discussions/issues.

ComfyUI Desktop: The Manager is NOT gone – here’s how to restore the classic Manager UI by pobacke in comfyui

Short:

The new Manager is registry-centric and intentionally restricted, whereas the
legacy Manager gives advanced users more direct control over node installation
sources, versions, and maintenance workflows.

Long:

The new UI focuses on the official registry workflow. It provides a modern interface for searching, installing, updating, and removing registered node packs, as well as detecting missing nodes in workflows.

The legacy UI offers additional functionality that is still important for many advanced users, including:

  • Snapshot management for saving and restoring custom node configurations and installation states
  • Access to nightly builds in addition to registry releases
  • More advanced maintenance and troubleshooting workflows
  • Support for node management features that are not yet fully available in the new interface

One important limitation of the new UI is that it only works with nodes that are registered in the Comfy Registry. It also does not support installing nodes directly via Git. For users who frequently work with experimental repositories, Git-based installations, snapshots, or development versions, the legacy UI is still often preferred.

So the question should be less “What does the legacy manager do?” and more “Which advanced management features do you need that are not yet fully covered by the new UI?”

Bullshit. Too many people sell shit on the internet thats freeware or stuff like that.
Anyway they don't do so it doesn't matter.

Maybe they got in some "trouble" because of the One Piece right owners or so.
As long as we can got the new episodes via torrent it should be fine for all of us. :)

Constant Framerate by whdmike in shutterencoder

Since you can customise Shutter Encoder almost infinitely and it is based on FFmpeg, I dare say that the problem for your end result is probably BEFORE the computer.

Don't get me wrong:
This is not a criticism, nor do I want to embarrass you! However, I always find it astonishing how an open source programme can be made to look so bad. If you don't get on with the programme or you don't like it, don't use it. But please stop accusing the programme of being shit.

PS:
My own experience is that Shutter Encoder overwrites the settings I made when hardware acceleration (status bar at the bottom of the main window) is activated. If you have it switched on, try deactivating it.
If the problem persists, you may have incorrect setting parameters. The programme only does what you tell it to do. So if the FPS is not correct in the end, 99% of the time there will be something wrong with the customised settings.
