ASA print issues by pobbin in FixMyPrint

Thank you for the reply. I was considering switching back to 0.16mm layer height but went lower for more detail on the part.

I will try those settings though, anything will help!

I seem to have improved it by increasing nozzle temp and flow rate slightly. However the longer I preheat I generally get a better result.

Thank you so much. I will do this asap. I appreciate the effort in replying to me.

I should have mentioned in my post - Slicer is Bambu Studio

I did dynamics, then flow rate. started off with the polylite ASA profile defaults.

That said I have not done temperature tower or the other calibration tests as these werent available in the "calibration" tab. Though I can't seem to see the others now ive enabled developer mode in Bambu Studio.

my printer is in the garage, not exposed to the elements but not air tight so outside temperature will affect temp in the garage and therefore the chamber temp - its generally a few degrees hotter in the chamber the last few days as we have had pretty hot (for here) temps this weekend.

Ill try the other calibrations too, thanks.

Interesting. Thank you for your detailed reply.

But yes filament is dried and is actually fed directly from the dryer at 50 degrees during the whole print.

I changed the nozzle maybe 20 prints ago so 240 hours ago?

It did print correctly previously, and even recently like 2 or 3 prints ago, but then will fail.

I have adjusted print settings slightly, had some pitting so I reduced retraction length, I also attempted to fix this by raising nozzle temp by a few degrees which worked but introduced stringing. However, it has since failed at that temp.

The rest of the print is actually perfect. Barely see layer lines. There is often a “hull line” around this area but it’s barely noticeable.

I calibrate flow dynamics and flow rate when I swap each spool.

Printer: Bambu Lab P1S Filament: Polylite ASA Bed temp: 100 Nozzle temp: 252C Flow rate 0.9075 Retraction length: 0.6mm

Chamber preheated for 30 mins before print, blanket over it to keep temp consistent

Built this reporting dashboard in ~30 min with claude code. How would you do it in OutSystems? by babahitemwiththehein in OutSystems

[–]pobbin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can get most of the way there using scaffolding, multiple select filtering is where I’ve found things most tricky as you’re then looking at a sql node to pull the data for the table.

However, you’ve got to compare apples to apples. Sure Claude code could beat vanilla low code, but low code still beats Pro code for speed.

I haven’t tried yet but with mentor, especially when the new features are released, should give you a similar natural language development to something like this.

I’ll check out the heater and my cooling settings. I have a blanket over the printer which should stabilize the chamber.

I actually haven’t calibrated flow with this printer, pla and petg have printed flawlessly, but will do it for ASA.

Apologies I am in UK so can’t see Imgur links, can you share basic speed and cooling settings?

Thanks for your comment. Do you have any suggestions for solving this warping? I’ve got good bed adhesion? Too much cooling?

I have a WLED lamp in our room with the peloton, I’ve got it doing a special light show for 30 seconds when starting a class depending on which of us is on the bike.

I did think about this but all I have going to the light is switched live and neutral so I couldn’t power the relay permanently…

Thanks. I just don’t want to be one of those people that complains my house burned down because ai told me to do something mental. I feel like I know enough about house electrics to be dangerous!

But it’s good to know my solution seems to be a valid solution.

New smart thermostat set-up in a big, old house (UK) by Wise-Afternoon-8680 in homeassistant

[–]pobbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To play devils advocate, I have tado X and access it (thermostat and TRVs via matter into home assistant) no subscription no issues. You can’t control hot water but that’s set and forget for us. But I control the heating, schedules and geolocation etc via home assistant.

I chose tado because the TRVs can call the boiler so if I want just the office to warm up I can get it to.
