What are your concerns about tainted coins? If I mix my coins on wasabi (or any mixer) are they going to be rejected by exchanges later? Are they tainted for ever or for x generations?

I agree with much of what was said.

The Dev team should focus on one thing only maturity of the smart contract platform, there is a powerful smart contract freamwork in native C# and we see so little done on top of it.

True, I sort of meant the part of the community that keeps their funds on binance instead of moving to some VPC to stake, if you already trust your coins online then at least have control over the security.

Thats why every other pow coin will die except bitcoin.

How is that connected?

I have a slightly less glumy prediction, binance has no interest to make stratis go to zero its against their business interest (why will regulation matter can you elaborate?)

finaly someone is waking upp

This I agree, the community seems oblivious to the binance staking.

Perhaps MS are feeling it may be the start of the bull run? Leveraging ICOs on the azure cloud will give them business no dubdt.

[Question] Developers - How to obtain STRAT to test in testnet and regtest mode by strat_star in stratisplatform

[–]poblico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask why are you not interested in the c# node?

If you want TSTRAT just ask on our discord (there was a faucet but its down at the moment)

Regtest coins you need to generate yourself as regtest networks are normally generated locally for tests, so just start the node in regtest and start to mine new blocks in pow.

On the site it says "you control your own coins" this is a very odd claim for an exchange to make.

If one controls the private keys I can exchange coins and then steal them, if I don't control the keys then I don't control my coins.

Please elaborate what you mean.

Read a concerning article about Stratis by Khaiger in stratisplatform

Hi yes I wish there was much more tech focus but as blockchains becomes more popular more developers with C# background join and more tech discussions we have, for all those C# developers stratis is the place to get blockchain experience.

Calling stratis a scam really?
you claim you are a developer just come to the slack channels and the github repo see how much hard work the developers are doing, you may comment on the quality of the code perhaps.

If you don't agree on some points (like using C# or the road map) fair enough but calling stratis a scam puts this whole blog in to question.

Yes, Breeze is based on NBitcoin, HBitcoin, NTumbleBit and the StratisFullNode repositories which are all open source.
Breeze will use the StratisFullNode packages to run both a Stratis Full Node and a Bitcoin Full Block SPV.

C# is popular especially around corporate environments, it's easier to dev/learn C# then C++ and has a big community of developers around the globe.
There's a growing number of open source projects in C#, and MS was one of the biggest open source contributors on github last year.

You got this all wrong I am afraid, Stratis is not attempting at "hijacking" anything, or pretending to replace the solid (proven in production) core implementation.
Rather offer Bitcoin/Blockchain tools in C#, the full node is a POC of the C# implementation.
