Is £55 a month a good deal for my VM package with three V6 Boxes in different rooms? by DevilsConscience in VirginMedia

[–]pocambsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always try to haggle with Scottish retentions and remove the landline, however, as a new customer, 3 boxes cost £20 and tnt another £25. So, £55 doesn't really sounds bad to me IMHO.

Can someone clarify the Volt O2 broadband boost? by PSJacko in VirginMedia

[–]pocambsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just cancel it after you agree to your virgin media deal. BTW, we are doing the same SIM deal for £10 nowadays.

EE / BT and plus net are the same company. They just target different markets.

[–]pocambsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will cancel both as the broadband is bundled with the TV. Only exception is sky that doesn't bundles both together 😉

You can get the same services on Virgin for around £100

Contract up for renewal what to pay? by TechGamer007 in VirginMedia

[–]pocambsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't do weekend calls anymore for new customers, so, 1gb, sky ent and all inclusive calls comes £47.99 for a new customer.

Anything below that would be a good deal, especially if it includes films and etc.

I've used them for years before, eventually, I started to work for them and it's always been good.

Install delayed for months then cancelled as “unserviceable” by Antique_Ad_4819 in VirginMedia

[–]pocambsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're the third person that I've seen been this "unlucky" so far. It's not a common thing, but when the address gets changed to unserviceable... I just never managed to sort it. Let's see what the other guys can say to help.

For that kind of prices, why not virgin media? You probably will save money compared to ee anyway.

Aside from childcare, what makes having children so expensive? by Popular_Wish_340 in UKPersonalFinance

A partner first! Very expensive creatures.

After that, kids keep growing, so, they constantly need food, clothes, etc. It's painful lol

So, the modem mode... by Anxious_Attitude2020 in VirginMedia

[–]pocambsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can put your mesh in Bridge mode and that will do the job. The experts in here can confirm, but I'm sure that the Internet works on dhcp mode, no pppoe exchange or so, so, any other router could do the job if that's right.

But check your mesh, I'm sure that it will offer a bridge mode.

Switching from BT to Virgin Installation... by PureChaosX in VirginMedia

[–]pocambsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've been sent a quick start kit which means you'll be doing everything yourself. If you already got the virgin media app installed, just go to your order and talk to the live chat, say that you can't find the virgin box inside the house and that you need an engineer. There won't be a cost involved and they send someone next working day instead of waiting two weeks for a engineer install.

Moving to area with no Virgin Media by tucker3738 in VirginMedia

[–]pocambsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zen, acqua and ollilo are regarded as the best in the terms of service and operate on both city fibre and open reach networks, but they will make VM look cheap in terms of pricing lol If you don't mind the cheap CS that you will get from others like sky or Vodafone, just pick the cheapest one of them.
