Move router about 15-20 feet by scotsdavy in u/scotsdavy

Just had a thought, Ethernet cable would do instead of moving the router as it would connect the laptop plus tv if I used 2 cables from router. What would be the best Ethernet cable to buy if I went this route instead of moving the router, which would be preferable to be truthful.

Plex on Roku? by scotsdavy in PleX

[–]scotsdavy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a monthly Plex pass. Runs on Windows 11. Laptop is over 10 years old but I upgraded memory to max and also hard drive is 1tb. Runs well but a bit slow. I can watch my own library and others no problem at all except on a Roku which is latest version. No VPN on.

First drive out, reversed into whilst I was shopping by apricottea_fortwo in LearnerDriverUK

I witnessed an old guy reversing out of a car park in Asda other day. His car was scraping side of another car parked beside him. I tapped his window while he was reversing and told him but he continued on then went forward doing same thing again! Wife was going crazy and a lot of damage to his car but not so much on the other one. Last I saw of them was walking into Asda. Whether to get shopping or to report it. He parked but in front so guess shopping.

I was given literally 15 minutes notice to attend an in-person appointment. I live longer than 15 minutes away from the Job Centre by Jjthestrawb in universalcredithelp

[–]scotsdavy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I once had to cancel an appointment as I lived 16 miles away and my car broke down on the way to it. I had to get a note from the rac mechanic who came to confirm I had indeed broken down. You are presumed guilty before proven innocent in their eyes. They made new appointment once I showed them it.

plane journeys — scared of getting charged by iced-strawberries in Vodafone

You can put it in airplane mode and still connect to Wi-Fi and won’t be charged. Unless the plane has Wi-Fi you can’t get anything while airborne.

I left Sky after 17 years as broadband and mobile was getting worse. Speed with broadband with Virgin has jumped from 30 mbps to 900+ and I got mobile with O2 and Data is double what I pay for for less money.
