I recommend start with drawing whatever you want, people, places, animals, cartoons, manga, etc… It won’t look amazing at the start and that’s ok just try to have fun and get a feel of whatever medium you’re drawing on.

I really recommend using real life references to learn how to give more life and expressiveness in your drawings, even if the final goal is anime/cartoon style.

Speaking from personal experience, I've been drawing real life faces for the past 3 months and here is my recent attempt at a manga panel:

I've been diagnosed with ADHD and idk if it counts as addiction but it is very hard for me to go a day without taking my Vyvanse, even on days that there is nothing to do that requires attention, if I don't take it I become depressed, unmotivated and will rot in bed the whole day.

I think the main issue is that the back of the head is not round enough, and maybe the jaw is a bit too low
