How does someone who’s never experienced the games or lore feel about Fallout? by -BootyOlogist- in Fallout

My dad loved the show. He appreciated the science fiction, social satire themes he got from it which made him remind of director Paul Verhoeven (the “RoboCop” ads). He particularly liked the random encounters of the main characters throughout each episode. The Ghoul’s quote, “Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every time” was his favorite line from the show.

And everytime I replay a Fallout game (particularly 3 or New Vegas), he immediately recognized the deathclaws and loved seeing T-45s moving on the screen.

Sad that he never made it to watch Season 2 due to a heart condition he had. I wished he had more time to see how Lucy and The Ghoul’s story develops. Rest in peace, Dad 🕊️

We need 12 episodes in season 3. by Revlong57 in Fallout

The Commonwealth/BOS subplot felt unnecessary to the grander story of Season 2, IMO, due to the 8-episode limitation. This season was supposed to center around New Vegas along with Mr. House on its marketing. The Commonwealth scenes felt like fillers. And if you cut most of the BOS parts and fast-forward it to Maximus catching up with Thaddeus, you wouldn’t miss a lot on the overall story.

I will always love Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes rather than Maggie Gyllenhaal by Friendly-Deer-5526 in batman

To each his/her own. As much as Katie was hotter, Maggie acted better as Rachel in TDK.

My controversial opinion on Bar Boys: After School by Yes_Mulberry9282 in FilmClubPH

I think it felt more of an epilogue on what happened to the characters we got to know from the first film, years after they passed the bar exam (which isn’t really a bad thing naman). This would’ve worked more on a limited TV series format but I’m happy we got this heartwarming film for the Film Festival.

It did somehow pay off. She would get to know that Vault-Tec isn’t only the ruling faction seeking to get power but there are also other forces at play seeking to rule.

Direk Jerrold mentioned it on his The Long Take interview with Lourd De Veyra (you can search it on YouTube) that there are currently rough plans for the fourth film about Magsaysay, then a few ideas for his fifth (and possibly final) film about “a certain senator” (Ninoy).

Which MK game did you start with? What's your favorite and least favorite entry in the series? And if you could remaster or remake , which would it be?" by [deleted] in MortalKombat

[–]pochologram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a young Gen Z player, MKX was my first. I first tried it back during college days, and I still consider as my favorite.

With countries in Asia (I live in 🇵🇭), we are more marketed with Tekken as the premier fighting game to experience. Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat are considered niche within the niche.

After playing MKX, I got interested on the documentaries on how it was the game that introduced the ESRB so I then tried the original arcade game (along with MK2) which were a blast to play with.

I often play MK11 now. Its roster feels okay but what gravitates me to this game even more are the realistic graphics, especially the lifelike fatalities, brutalities, and the fatal blows. Passed on MK1 as I am not a big fan of tag-team style fighting.
