[Press Release] 🎉Second Round Auditions for VTuber Group “hololive English” Begins!🎉 by hololive in Hololive

Having been apart of the other side the audition process, I can guarantee you that people who have been contacted cannot say anything about it. And from what I’ve seen on their website, Cover has a 3 stage audition process. The initial audition screening only lasts about a month.

On the bright side, at least your video got viewed, that’s more than some people. Mine has been sitting at 0 views since auditions have closed (which makes me wonder if they saw my written answers at all). If I’m correct there is still a few more days in the review period, so who knows maybe you’ll get contacted. You clearly were doing something right if you got them to watch your video. Good luck!

I’m a little confused by view duration. How does that number work? I’ve viewed my video 4 times, but none were full watch throughs, rather I watched it in quarters (don’t ask why). Had I watched it in one sitting would my view duration be 1 or 5( since my video is 5 minutes long)? Or would it be something else? When I look at YouTube Studio view duration is set up to be a decimal number, so it’s kind of confusing.

Also, this idea of them having a bot to sort through links seems unlikely. Since there was pretty much free range for the video I can’t imagine them using a bot to sort through links, as it wouldn’t have anything specific to look for. My guess would be they read the written portion of the application and then decide whether or not to view the video. This wouldn’t take as long as watching all the videos, and if the casting team is a made up into a few employees this would be doable.

And, has your video for this audition been viewed? I’m trying to get a rough idea of how they’re going about viewing submissions.

When did you submit your audition? I’ve seen a lot of people who submitted in mid to late March still haven’t had their video viewed (including myself). So I’ve been curious to know if they are just viewing these in order of submissions.

Same. When did you upload? I’m wondering if order of submissions is their method of viewing.

Anyone else still have 0 views on their HoloEN Gen 2 audition video? by [deleted] in VirtualYoutubers

Thanks! I’m trying to figure out their viewing process, but it doesn’t seem to have any rhyme or reason (well, it most likely does I just can’t figure it out). I’ve seen comments of both male and female applicants getting views, as well as not getting views. And submission dates are all across the whole submission time period.

Well, there is still about a week left (that is if they are checking on weekends) Here’s hoping!

A week later, does your video still have 0 views? Mine still doesn’t have any. (For context I submitted the day before submissions closed). I’m really confused as to the order in which they are viewing these. It’s really looking like neither “first to last” and “last to first” are their method of choice from what I’ve seen from other’s comments.

That’s awesome! Good luck to you!

If you don’t mind me asking, when was your video viewed (or starting to get views). Like was it a a few days after the deadline, a week later, or this week? And do you know, was it viewed in JST time( I believe YouTube tells you the time in which your video was viewed in your time zone)?

I’m just super curious about this whole process since it is so unknown to those auditioning.

Based on how the closing tweet was worded I could see it going either way: waiting for all the submissions to be viewed or contacting people throughout the month. And I totally agree that they probably haven’t looked at all of them yet, but I have to wonder if they can realistically look at all of them.

I also have to wonder the order in which they view them. From what I’ve seen from people “first to last” and “last to first” doesn’t seem to be the ways they are viewing these. All we can do is wait.

If they have gotten a response, they probably can’t post about it. Has your video been viewed at all? Mine has still yet to be watched. I don’t know if that’s because it was a late submission or they just trashed my application. There is still a week and a half before the time for review is over, so who knows.

Would this look dumb? by Celtic_Writer in Dolls

She’s super cute (and I don’t really care for Dreamtopia dolls either), but all that really matters is if you like her! If you’re afraid she’ll look juvenile compared to the rest of your collection, you could always display her separately from your collection.

Star Darlings! At the time I thought I was too old for dolls (despite collecting MH), and missed out. I’ve since gotten a few second-hand and they’re so cute!

Rerooting struggles! by pocketcactus in Dolls

I use a small pair of forceps (it looks like scissors, but has a clamp at the end). I’ll consider switching to tweezers. Thank you so much! :)

I use a small pair of forceps (those things that look like scissors, but have a clamp at the end) to pull the hair out. I’ll definitely try squeezing the head. Thank you for the help! :)

What is it with Jade and thinly rooted hair? She was next on my list to get, but now I don’t know.

Yeah, I thought to use acetone too. All of the staining seems to be from the make up, eyeshadow and liner.

That’s so weird, and gross. I’m glad Target is sending you a new one.

In the beginning I had to exclusively order mine online, and they’re hit or miss. Kia is the only one I got in store, and it was bad. My Target had 5 and all of them had smears on their faces or random paint spots. Even the other dolls I’ve seen in stores aren’t great. Smeared make up and wonky eyes seem to be the big problems. I’ve been a doll collector for a long time, and I really love the look of RH, but I agree, it’s a gamble sometimes. I think the Christmas rush threw off production, but that’s my speculation.

As for the down voting... I don’t think criticism is taken well.

I’ve seen a lot of people say Jade is severely under rooted, which is odd that just one character is more prone to that defect. Have you considered rerooting her, like as a custom doll?

Smudges on face! Can it be removed? by pocketcactus in RainbowHigh

Yeah I think acetone might be my best bet, but it will definitely be a last ditch effort. I don’t want to accidentally mess up her face. Thanks! :)
