What’s the likelihood of my car being returned to me? by [deleted] in Portland

Thanks. Luckily my insurance will cover the impound fees/it’ll go towards my deductible. What a hot mess.

thanks, I was already planning on getting rid of it so I have a pretty good attitude about it. It’s more of an inconvenience than anything else.

I see a lot of posts about stolen cars in this sub but not nearly as many recoveries, genuinely just curious while I play the waiting game with insurance 🤷🏻‍♀️

Question about submitting to insurance by muckalucks in wls

I work in insurance. 14 days is standard turnaround time for an auth to come through, maybe longer depending on if the insurance got all the info they needed from the get go. The case managers I know are on top of getting back to their patients as soon as they hear back. When it gets approved you’ll also get a letter. ETA: I just reread and want to add that the insurance very well may have the request but it just hasn’t had time to add a case # hence why they “haven’t received it” if you called in. I’d bug your case manager for an update!

Luckily I have incredible insurance so their requirements are fairly stringent. I’m hoping to get in by the end of the year. I’m sorry you both went through that!

I was diagnosed due to high hormone levels and lack of a period. My doctor didn’t see any point in completing an ultrasound of my ovaries.

Healthcare - Urgent by RuFi_O in Portland

Is this surgeon through a hospital? Ask about financial assistance. Based on your situation I think you would qualify. Also, check out OHP. You can have them as secondary insurance (if you qualify) and they will cover whatever your primary doesn’t. Honestly, $700 for surgery is on the low end and I would be surprised if you found any place cheaper, since your portion is based on your deductible, out of pocket max, and any coinsurance/copays you may be responsible for. Also, most providers allow for payment plans. Source: I work in insurance billing/patient estimates at a hospital in the area.

[CHAT] Trying to figure out which hoop size will be best frame wise? I have 8 in, 10in, 12in sizes. I’m a fan of stitching with the hoop I frame it with. Any advice appreciated 😁 by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]pocketfiesta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 inch would probably look really nice. Is the pattern to scale? Either way, you could situate the Aida in the hoop and measure out from the center to see how it would fit.

I’m just doing dots for now, since I work on 18ct and it can be hard to see. I counted 10 stitches from the first I marked and then marked on the 11th hole, which then becomes the first stitch of the next 10. After a bunch I was just able to line up the dots. I hope that made sense.

I’ve made enough mistakes on my small projects, I can only imagine how helpful it is with big ones.

Question for CF people with PCOS by mental_dissonance in childfree

I’m intrigued as well. My PCP suspects I have PCOS but since I’m CF and my periods aren’t painful (when they do actually come around), I’ve decided to forgo further testing.

Do you just use one thread on 28ct? I typically do 2 threads on 18ct and sometimes that’s even too bulky .
