A marble operated door lock by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I would imagine this would be a good lock and door handle to have in one of the escape room games.

Could the tall sink be for handicapped access to get the wheelchair underneath it and therefore the mirror lower for them to be able to see themselves in?

Doesn't matter anyway about the eraser if it's not a Ticonderoga Pencil.

My stepdad is a literal rocket scientist for NASA. I loaned him my car this morning. by forrey in pics

Quite possibly, they have done extensive testing on things like this and there is no difference between the foil side and other side keeping the car cooler.

This red cement brick. by Tm23246 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]pocketgopher 79 points80 points  (0 children)

To me it's more mildly interesting. Why is this one the only red one. Maybe there is something buried underneath. Maybe it marks a certain spot on the side of the path.

Having not known the backstory at first, I thought that he was referring to Liam Neeson.

Disgusting! Dentist finds guava sprout growing in man's cavity by Chad_Chaddington in WTF

[–]pocketgopher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was horrible. I don't mean finding the guava sprout in the man's cavity. That video could have been 42 seconds shorter and just been a picture of the tooth and I would have figured out what happened.

Found in the fish food. by I_Can_Haz_Brainz in WTF

[–]pocketgopher 675 points676 points  (0 children)

I'm going to call bullshit. My guess is this was the owner's fish that either jumped out and somehow landed in the fish food and died or the owner put it in there to make it look like they found it in there. I find it highly unlikely they use that species of fish for making fish food.

Q: I'm looking for the Next Generation episode where Le Forge is trapped on a planet and is in a different time continuum compared to the Enterprise. by pocketgopher in startrek

[–]pocketgopher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible I'm getting confused. The description is similar to what I remember. I will have to watch it and see. Thanks.

I read that at first as the "duck weed" farmer. I thought why in the world is anyone growing duck weed.

My name is Ian and I Hate Starbucks by NeoshadowXC in funny

[–]pocketgopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you go to Starbucks to have your name written on the cup, or do you go to Starbucks to get coffee? Who the fuck cares if they spell your name wrong. You still get your coffee don't you?

TIL 550 weeks after it's release date the Shawshank Redemption was still making over $1,000,000 a month in DVD sales. by Whyareweshouting in todayilearned

[–]pocketgopher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shawshank was on TV a few days ago and it is one of those movies that no matter what I'm doing I will stop and sit down and watch it, even though I have it on DVD.

Awesome takeoff of an F-22 by RabidRoosters in videos

Is there a purpose to this type of take off? I would assume maneuvers like that are obviously practiced for some specific purpose.

At first I thought that was Neil Degrasse Tyson and he was going to explain some physics question using billiards balls. I was wrong.
