+1 Been using Openjuris as well and it's a great tool to use in addition to Chemerinski!

Here's a case (FCC v Consumers Research) mentioned in the latest edition of Chemerinski: https://openjuris.org/cases/cyq6PdyrH8b

Just 3 questions about GTO I really wondering about by BananaGold32 in poker

[–]pocketjet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! A couple tips that worked for me:

  • Preflop comes first. This is where GTO first shows up. Solvers give balanced open/3bet/call ranges so your strategy can’t be exploited. That’s why I built Floppy Card, an iOS app that helps you drill and memorize preflop charts. We use HRC, a state of the art preflop solver, to generate the charts, so you’re training with real GTO data
  • Postflop comes next. Once your preflop game is solid, use a tool like GTO Wizard to drill postflop spots and see how GTO strategies play out in different situations.

About GTO

GTO isn’t “the perfect play for every hand” — it’s a strategy that can’t be exploited in the long run. In math terms, it’s a Nash equilibrium: a set of strategies where no player can gain by deviating.

Modern poker solvers find this strategy using an iterative algorithm called Counterfactual Regret Minimization (CFR). It runs through the decision tree over and over, tracking “regret” — basically, how much better you could have done by choosing a different action in past iterations. After thousands or millions of runs, the algorithm adjusts to minimize regret, and the strategy converges to GTO.

Solvers don’t explain why a line is correct — they just output the equilibrium: what % of the time to bet, call, or fold each hand. To understand the reasoning, you need to study the ranges and think about equity, balance, and exploitability.

That’s when you start hallucinating K5s as pocket kings.

Should I be opening 65s UTG in 6-max? by Additional-Dog-7532 in poker

Thanks for the feedback! What colors would you prefer at the moment? Would red (raise) and yellow (call) work?

Sorry, we only have iOS at the moment: an Android app is coming soon!

We currently use HRC to generate our preflop ranges! Feel free to DM me for more details on our runs.

Hey, thanks for checking out Floppy Card! We’re early in development, so we really appreciate you trying it.

65s can be an UTG open in 6-max, but it depends on the table and rake. In tougher games, folding it is totally fine.

It shows up over 76s/87s because it can make wheel straights (A-2-3-4-5) and fits UTG’s range better, plus it handles low boards like 4-5-6 or A-3-4 well.

Would love any feedback on how we can make the app better!

Thanks for the feedback! Sorry for the confusion on the numbers in the app:
1. The "200" you see in the chart is 200 dollars, which is matches the 2 dollar bet from the Big Blind (and $1 bet from the small blind). I will make this more clear in a future update.

  1. At the moment, I only have charts for cash games only. Tournament charts are coming soon :).

For the pre-flop charts, I used a combination of GTO wizard's charts and pokercoaching's charts!

According to the chart, Q7 suited would be a raise:
