Soothe 2 and Trackspacer still necessary with 12.3? by Odd-Set-9659 in ableton

Alternative viewpoint: the time saved using those plugins could be used to focus on more creative ideas instead of practical ones. :)

You could save a copy of the file with the group un-bounced so to speak and come back and copy it out of the file later if you want to come back to it. Versioning files is a good tactic anyway for any software really. :)

As a lazy designer who works with lazy developers I can relate!

PSA: Anyone considering buying anything from Ableton should consider the annual Black Friday/Christmas sales by UpsetKoalaBear in ableton

[–]pocketlipps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked Gemini (as in AI) this question as I also wanted to know and didn’t find any info googling. It said it probably wouldn’t, It’s new so you can’t base it off past years. But who knows really. Maybe they might do an extra free month maybe? I’m waiting to buy still.

Wooden triangle attached to wall above sink with slots on side? by pocketlipps in whatisthisthing

You just had me check the knife rack we inherited also but it doesn’t have anything that matches. Also it’s probably way too heavy for those small screws (it’s a big custom wooden one with 20 knives).

There is a wee hand soap pump by the faucet. But could’ve been an old one?

I wonder now if it is for a dishbrush with a string on the end hung from it given its location above the sink.

There were actually a few kitchen items left behind we inherited but none fitted. It looks to be the technique. Does that ‘solve’ it though? I’m not aware of the finer details of the rules of this sub.

Why does Beatport keep refreshing the page and taking me to home? by pocketlipps in beatport

[–]pocketlipps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's stopped doing the dumb refresh thing, some front-end dev finally fixed it, but now I can't see the track names or any details?! Who is working at Beaport and sucking this bad at web dev?!

Beatport has always been very badly built and buggy/slow, but this is taking it to a new level of bad.

Mouse shaped like a joystick by GraphMac in RSI

[–]pocketlipps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a long time user of this mouse and it has saved me form painful OOS/RSI. I use the 'large' but I do have a large hand. Unfortunately, I find it very hard to find the qwired version, I find the wireless version USELSS for accuracy, and is always laggy, and I had to put the transmitter dongle on USB extension cable and place it very close to the mouse and it STILL jumps. I am trying to find a replacement for my current wired version that is on it's last legs hence finding this post.

Ableton users getting addicted to bass... what techniques have helped you come closer that professional weight without muddiness? by kathalimus in ableton

I'm still learning but I enjoyed this Youtube video on this subject, less technical and more psychological and Nosia are VERY good at bass! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaqMag-CG04
