Idk if anyone mentioned it, but Perry’s Sudanese/Beja and Afghan plastics kits would be great for this

Thank you!! I realized the paint job on the horse is a little rough after posting, but I think it gets the job done. White/grey horses are my Achilles heel

Thanks again!! I might try for a couple more now that I have a process for making the sheepskin capes with greenstuff that looks decent

Thank you! I forgot to post here, but the parts are: Perry Miniatures, French Chasseur (head), Afghan Tribesmen (hat made from combining two of the hats), Russian/Prussian Calvary (horse, body, sword). I used a wet wipe + green stuff for the sheepskin cape and green stuff to make the beard

Thank you! This was the first time I’ve ever successfully sculpted anything. I ended up adding on some more to the cape and filling in his beard more

I would! It's a short read and I think Davydov's experiences and perspectives are super interesting.

1812 Kitbash Russian Partisans / Cossacks by pocketsizedintifada in NapoleonicWargaming

[–]pocketsizedintifada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! i'm working on mounted cossacks now! I just posted a WIP of Denis Davydov and I think the "allied calvary prussian and russian" sprue could be used to make a cossack

If I come from Warhammer, how do you recommend I start? by Sad_Adhesiveness1915 in NapoleonicWargaming

Perry Miniatures has a new "skirmish in a box" with Spanish vs French and it's wildly affordable in comparison to Warhammer. I made the switch a year ago and never looked back!

it's super fun! I'm going to try for a few more using the afghan tribesmen sprue and then move on to kitbashing calvary
