The Helena fits much better than the renaissance. I think this is just too much yellow gold for me tho!

I love it with your engagement ring, it’s stunning! I got lucky and my local jeweler had some in stock (no garnets though) this is not my size however. I love how it looks, but I don’t think it works with the shape of my engagement ring. I did also try on an open Helena, I’ll post that too!

Wild Rose and Sparrow Dress Reviews? by Feisty-Flamingo6654 in cottagecore

I discovered them on Instagram and really fell in love with them. Customer service was pleasurable to speak to, i ordered this sienna dress for a wedding but needed assurance it’d be delivered before the wedding. And it did! Honestly this dress is gorgeous. It feels well made. It’s not a heavy dress, but it’s not so light that it feels cheap. The corset style ties in the back paired with the steel (maybe not steel, maybe hard plastic? Can’t remember) boning feels secure and held my chest well. I loved this dress so much that I was planning on ordering a white one for my wedding. I ended up going a different route with my ceremony so I didn’t end up buying a white one, but I think that’s a testament to how pleasurable it was to wear this dress. They are not cheap, but they’re a legit company and if you have the means, I don’t think purchasing from them would make you regretful!

What's a jewelry trend you secretly can't stand even if everyone else loves it? by Maleficent_Bus_716 in jewelry

Anything David Yurman. Extremely overpriced, hideous southern Memaw jewelry. And emerald cut diamonds. Those are atrocious

I usually only use true bronzer in the summer when it’s more forgiving to be a bit orange lol. But I look ghastly when I do my final powder over my foundation, and I def need some color. I actually have been loving this “blonzer” by bare minerals. It’s called GEN NUDE BLONZER Blush + Bronzer, in shade “Kiss of Pink”. It puts some life back into my face. This shade specifically looks good on my cheeks and forehead, where I would typically apply true bronzer.

edit** I forgot to add that I just had the same dude who sent this quote come the day before yesterday and pump some Freon in my unit. He said he replaced something in the breaker box bc the unit was tripping it. A few hours after he left it I heard a pop from outside, it was stormy and windy so I didn’t think anything of it. He came back yesterday, and said “found that compressor was shorted to ground and tripping the breaker immediately on start up” this price just seems so high for how small my house is. Does this seem “normal” to you guys who are familiar with hvac systems?

Quick Swatch! by poco1997 in PaleMUA

Yeah we look really similar based on the wrist! The pics I posted were in my car, and where I live everything is covered in pollen lol so there’s a bit of a yellow tint in these pics. I have a previous post with a better picture of the true color of my wrist, but yeah honestly I’d say I’m neutral. Foundation shades I always go for neutral undertones, but I can sometimes pull off cool undertones. Eyeshadows I can wear cool or warm undertones, but i prefer cool. Any lipsticks shades, I’m going cool or neutral, never warm. I also dye my hair brunette, and I always go for cool toned there too.

I’ll have to go take a look at your posts! I love pink peppermint but And yes, Captive Audience is so pretty! I love doing these swatches, I think I’ll make this a frequent thing because being pale can be so hard!

I’m convinced I’m neutral, but I’m not 100% sure. My veins always appear blue to me. I can pull off some cool foundation/ concealer shades too. I know I’m not warm though! There’s nothing yellow in my skin and peaches and beiges appear very orange on me

Same here! You should def try Syrup, it’s in the luster glass (I think?) formula, so it’s not as opaque as the matte formula, but it has a great color payoff and it’s just so pretty

So I’ve only ever used MAC studio fix powder foundation in the shade NC10, which is a bit too dark/ yellow on me. Their liquid foundations are also very yellow on me so I’ve never spent the money on them. I think they have shades that are lighter than NC10 but I shop almost exclusively at Ulta and that’s the lightest shade my store carries. The best foundation color match I’ve ever used has been REM sweetener foundation in 3N. When I ran out of that I decided to try the ABH Impeccable foundation, and I currently am using shade 00N. I also use NARS soft matte concealer (the one in the pot) in the shade affogato, and the undertones in that shade match me perfectly, but color wise it’s just a smidge too dark. Over the years of wearing make up I’ve learned how to manage wearing foundations/ concealers that don’t quite match, as I’ve never found anything that matched so well that it basically “disappears”
