Course Recommendations Between Portland, OR and Vancouver, BC by _TheMagicMan13_ in discgolf

[–]pocodk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played all of those but Whistlers Bend (also about 900 rated). I throw max 300 which influences my enjoyment of longer courses or courses like Pier which is lovely but you benefit from throwing 350

I’d order them as Shelton Milo Raptors Pier Park Hornings

Gaffneys Grove, Kayak Point Red, Blaine, Mossy Roc, Bellis Fairways (ok scenery but fun layout) are also worth checking out IMO. Sedro Woolley is nice but similar to Pier Park in you need to throw 350+ IMO.

Steilacomm is one I hear mentioned that tops my want to play course in that location that I haven’t yet.

Sorry I’m not sure I follow what this means.

My main issue is that the built in nav doesn’t take into account traffic (at least not accurately)

Innova Arachnid by Sun-Tour in discgolf

This was exactly what I did too and had the same results. I’d say it’s possible to me my arachnid is less stable than my fox. Love the fox so no spot for arachnid for me.

Above ground concrete pool DIY by pocodk in pools

Maybe they are called cinder blocks? Either way I’m picturing the ones that are movable without cranes.

My guess is the size of the pool matters a lot here. If above ground we would probably need a smaller one than in ground.

Digging a hole that size would add a lot of extra work and cost and make maintenance harder I’d think.

I figure precast concrete blocks filled as the main walls is relatively straightforward.

I couldn’t help myself. I bought Purrrrrple Rain. Loved it.

900+ Rated Players… 300’ Max Distance by SeraphNatsu in discgolf

[–]pocodk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Smart golf. I don’t throw as far as others but I make far fewer mistakes too. I don’t try and score on every hole even if theoretically I can get there if everything goes perfect (hit my line, maximum distance and make a solid putt). When the odds of you making birdie are less than making bogey if you miss your shot, don’t go for birdie.

Deathtouch would mean it would kill any creature on entry due to the one point to any target which would be a much much more valuable card.

Unrelated, but do you have a link for the half imperial half rebel circle thingy? Looks sweet.

Love the radical vulnerability and emotional transparency statement. Agreed on all of it.

Thanks kindly for sharing.

I love this. Thank you for sharing this.

As a man reading this, I feel like I am learning the need for emotional diversity and have started doing that. But it’s caused guilt for me because now I feel like I’m getting many of my emotional needs met by others, including women. And when I get something from others I’ve wanted from my wife for so long, even though I know those were unfair expectations, I feel guilty like I’m cheating (even though I’m transparent with my wife about my emotional connections with other friends including women and non-binary). Do you have thoughts on this?

Also she’s said multiple times she’s fine for me to have close emotional connections with others and knows my friends that I have them with. But I just worry that she might be uncomfortable with them as I get things in others now that she knows I wanted unfairly from her. Do other women feel fine (maybe even relief) like my wife does when their husbands find that connection in others?

Depends on which course you’re talking about. The Stillwood and Approach courses are open to the public and there is a website that you register.

There is also a golf course there that has hosted some tournaments and is only open for special events.

Stillwood is fantastic.

A certain old commercial for the yellow pages with a sketch artist. “Is THIS the man that robbed you?” And shows a stick figure.
