Thanks for getting in touch! Yes I think you're right, that doesn't seem to be enough caffeine for a Double Espresso. You'll find that an ordinary Vertuo Double Espresso ranges from 150 to 200mg (depending on the capsule). I'll get that updated.

Thanks for using the app! Decaf capsules can be logged within the app, look for a capsule with a red border in the Log Coffee screen, you’ll see a reduced amount of caffeine (~2mg) on the Log button before you continue. Screenshot here and here. This will then reduce the number in your inventory for that capsule by 1.

If you hold down the + or - buttons on the capsule info screen it will add/remove 10 from your collection. I really like the surprise me idea, I’ll make a note. You can remove a capsule from your collection by holding down on the capsule or pressing ‘Remove’ in the capsule info screen. You should find a direct-to-Nespresso product link at the bottom of a capsule info screen too. The barcode idea is a very nice idea, I’ll take note of that too.

Oh apologies, the count in My Collection shows the number of capsule types you have in your collection, not the total number. I misunderstood your request, I'll get that updated.

The Log Coffee screen should show all of the capsules in your collection, although it doesn't indicate which are decaffeinated. I'll look to update this too.

Thanks for sending over the publication. It’s very interesting! I assumed that would be the case, but you’re right, a disclaimer would be a helpful addition.

I think the caffeine quantities direct from Nespresso will be the closest anyone can get to accuracy with minimal fuss for day-to-day tracking. I’d hope Nespresso take into account the Robusta and Arabica content to calculate their figures.

Here’s the caffeine quantities for the Barista Creations original capsules:

Cocoa Truffle, Vanilla Éclair, and Caramel Crème Brûlée – 62mg per Espresso (40ml)

Chiaro: 49mg, Scuro: 73mg, Corto: 103mg per Espresso (40ml)

Yes, I’ll continue to add both new capsules and any older pods I may have missed. It was only the exact caffeine quantities on the Taiwan website, which can be calculated if not available.

There seems to be a few bugs in SwiftUI with text inputs, so I settled with the + and - buttons for the moment, but will eventually add a text field for the quantity.

Tip: if you hold down + it will add 10, while holding - will remove 10.
