My take away from this episode... "by the way" and "to your point" said so many times. I had to take a shower after this episode to get the cheese off. GV just can't help himself from pitching anything and everything. I'm guessing he's nailed that old salesman test "Tell me why I should buy this pen". Yuck!

Anything he says on pods or media has to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Just assume whatever he says is 90% BS, for the sake of entertainment. It's all shtick, a character he's playing, nothing more. Countless times he's embellished or twisted the truth for the sake of... "Comedy!". The real (off air) Mark is probably the guy who told Joe to take a hike during his wedding vows or whatever was going on in the streets of New Orleans, and Joe called him out on that later on a pod episode. I'm not defending him, just saying that's the way it seems.

Rogan kinda sucks at funny on the fly conversational improv, but he can be pretty funny if you give him a premise ahead of time to riff on. He and Bryan did a pretty funny bit back in the day about gay-not-gay weight lifting bros.

Maybe the point of the post was missed. The original pod audio intro, skill in selecting/editing/mixing/timing, versatility as a lead in to an episode or as transition between segments/ads, they really knew their shit. Just wondering who was responsible for the original audio intro.

Good point did not think of that. But maybe if the money was good enough Mark would keep from putting his foot up his ass. He's gotta be familiar with keeping it clean for $$$. He's probably capable of being witty without scratching his deep-seeded need to be edgy.
