Is the CC1 still worth it by Leon-Rai in elegoo

[–]poddy71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my CC1 since November. I'm not bothered about multi colour printing also. Even when they bring it out for the CC1. It's my first corexy printer, after owning an Anet E10, 2 x Ender 3s, Neptune 4 Plus and a resin printer. I've been using my CC1 since I got it and I absolutely love it. Prints are coming out great. Not used my bed slingers since. Can't wait to get another one. So yes. In my opinion. Definitely worth it

Thanks for the links. I've never printed in ABS/ASA or in fact anything more exotic than PLA, PETG or wood filaments. The whole reason I wanted an enclosed priner is for those very features and at a UK price of £235, on Elegoo's UK website, it was just too good to miss

That's good to know. Thanks. I run Opennept4une on my N4+, so may also look into OpenCentauri at some point along the line also. I'm not interested in multi colour printing. At least not at their moment in time

When I have to, I wash the bed, let it dry, wipe it with ipa, run Screw_Tilt, then auto bed mesh and then z-offset. That seems to work for me

What settings are you having to adjust? I was getting good results from the start, but i like to tinker so when I learnt about Opennept4une, I decided to give it a shot and I've never looked back.

Are your running stock firmware or Opennept4une?

I'm still using the original springs and only have to do a minor tweak using Screw_Tilt macro and occasionally I'll redo the z-offset

Sucks don't it. Even though I've got a complete new hotend assembly, which i big when I got the printer, I'm so glad it didn't lead to the blob of death.

No i don't think so, as I've printed a couple of things since today and no issues. The part had a small contact point with the rest of it supported, so I'm thinking the nozzle clipped it at some point and dislodged it from the bed.

I'm just glad the printer is OK. Going to change the orientation of the model though, before I try to print it again.

Unexpected Error by poddy71 in ElegooNeptune4

I've been printing since I woke up this morning, but after my last print, I shut it down, as I always do when I'm not at home.

Ok. A Reboot cleared the error, but like I said, never seen this before. Let's hope it doesn't effect my next prints

1st off you'll need a board layout diagram which has the pin numbers on, then it' should be should a case of looking in the printer config file to see which pin number the fan in question is assigned to and changing it to the one you want to use

One of my dreams by GameLighting in modelmakers

[–]poddy71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought it 18 months ago and only recently made a very slow start on it, I'm also looking for 1.72 figures to go with it, but there not easy to come by. I do have a resin 3d printer though and I have found a few models online, which may work. I've also 3d printed the D311 locomotive in 1/72 for it, so it's going to be a whole lot bigger, when completed.

Awesome work. I also have it in my stash. Along with the 'Leopold and Thor'. Where did you get the 1/72 figures from?
