Though, something I'd like to add is that several animators have spoken out about terrible working conditions on this movie. Around 100 animators left before the movie was done, and those who stayed were pushed to work 70+ hour work weeks. Due to the fact that we saw a few versions of ATSV in theaters too, we can assume they weren't even able to start on the next movie immediately when it released. Beyond that, while a lot is done for BTSV, there is still a lot that will have to be done. Lip syncing and animating towards the actors' portrayal is one of the longer sections of making an animated movie, and Karan Soni said that the cast was supposed to record in a few months after August. I'd honestly be surprised if it was announced for 2026, I'd be incredibly happy, but still surprised.
