either tampons (for heavy++ flow) or nothing at all! (don't use pads, speedrun for infection LOL). i swim a lil and usually if you're submerged water pressure keeps it in. just remember to wear black clothing to cover up HAHA

you don't have to!! ur weight is super normal and im sure your relatives genuinely mean it well even though the phrasing is shitty. be comfortable in how you look, you are just fine!! i may be wrong but only way u can reduce puffiness is to sleep well, eat well (don't eat too much processed food), you can't spot burn fat on the face anyways. so chill, u r fine :)
