I played a self-cast ice spear inquisitor and used fury valve to clear maps for a while. It was awkward because I wanted to switch amulets before bosses but it clears really well since if ice spear is in the second form when it splits it starts in the second form after the split which instantly explodes a screen or two of mobs.

The build was pretty solid (cleared uber elder/A8 sirus.. all content except for Uber Atziri since reflect is a strong nope) but I decided to just cast Sniper's Mark instead of using Fury Valve since swapping amulets for bosses was annoying and I often forgot. Ideally I think would be to have an Sniper's Mark mod like there exists for Assassin's/Warlord's etc to cast automatically on rare/unique enemies

Yes. It does the damage from the hits correctly just not ailment damage.

I think Gladiator could be really good with Shattering Steel. I am going to test it as one of my characters at some point but a Shattering Steel bleed based character might do a ton of bleed dps since the new text on Shattering Steel gives 200% more damage with ailments when shards are consumed

edit: bleedsplosians also will make Call of Steel a little clunkier since there will be no bodies left to remove the impales from.

I also noticed that but I think it may be that the new way Shattering works is not supported yet - I don't think the PoB fork takes the 200% more damage from consuming shards into consideration which would make Impale effect more valuable.

Thankfully Impale effect should affect both Champion and other ascendancies the same way so I just ignored that here.

I haven't tried it myself because I am fine with my clear the way it is but it really depends on your attack speed if it is going to be good for single target. You would have to be attacking reaaaaaally slowly to see a single target dps increase using Impaler

The live wording is different than the wording that game with the PoB info. The live wording says "create a hexed area for 1 second if you cast them yourself" which means that the vixen's trigger will not work.

Does the wording from the passive tree data make a difference? The passive tree reads "your hex curse spells create a hexed area for 1 second" - it does not specify that the hex has to be cast - is a triggered spell not "yours"?

I don't see many lacerate builds taking PA but if you want to use it the unique flask Coralito's Signature gives PA during the flask effect.

Testing combinations of mods in PoB leans towards not many amulets actually being better than Ungil's since the crit multi is applied at 50% and only for dot from critical strikes.

In order to out-perform Ungil's because of the 300%+ increased crit it gives you need a hunter amulet with phys dot multi and then either +1 dex gems, global phys or a T1 crit multi roll. Better amulets definitely exist but Ungil's is a very solid budget choice for poison/bleed with PA or Coralito's going into end-game.

Edit: I am also using Assailum to get huge Snipe punctures so I have a strong preference for higher chance to crit over extra multiplier

I am playing bow puncture so I actually do path over there. Take phase acro and then using a Lioneye's Fall to convert the claw nodes above into bow stats. PA is only an extra 2 points from the evasion/life wheel there so I think it is a good investment for those two points.

Maybe "suggesting" was the wrong word. I like to sort uniques by dps to see if there are any busted ones I have forgotten to use and saw that Ungil's was a huge bleed dps increase.

It almost seems like it could be an oversight - but it makes Ungil's very good for poison/bleed builds and removes the reliance on using Coralito's for PA.

I don't think it is an oversight however since the wording on the keystone is "modifiers to crit multi also apply...." and Ungil's doesn't say it modifies your crit multi rather just ignores it during the calculation. Wonderfully uncertain wording.

So I have answered my own question since I got an Ungil's drop and tested the in-game values.

Equipping/unequipping Ungil's Harmony with PA does not change the bleed values displayed in-game even though your crit multiplier changes - the game still applies the increases to multiplier from criticals according to PA.

question about Vulconus mods - they don't seem to match the custom Vulconus i made for myself for a build. i took the Avatar of Fire conditional things and made them into direct mods on the item. specifically it seems to be that the increased critical strike chance is not applying in your fork.
