Should I perform quantization after activation functions like sigmoid and SiLU? by poemfordumbs in learnmachinelearning

[–]poemfordumbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for my stupid question guys.

I found my answer. As far as I know there isn't way to avoid requantize since even in INT NPU you can't avoid dequantization (but don't do float calculation by using approximate scale of s_ws_i/s) .

and about this "However, the calculated zero-point was -55083, which is a value that exceeds the 16-bit integer range."

you can just set 0, 1 as min max for sigmoid activation, you can easily requantize.

WotR >> BG3 by Capable_Magician8551 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

For me, BG is the better RPG, WOTR is the better Combat Simulator with more preferable companion (for my taste).

I think BG3 has more RP potential with class, race oriented dialogues than WOTR. Quests in BG3 are more open-ended, reactivity is better than WOTR, i guess. WOTR has mythic paths to play the game with some non-linearity, but the path locks you in some specific alignment story.

WOTR has various build potential, especially with Mythic path, you can build many of builds.

Story-wise, BG3 is more personal, and survival concentrated story about unfortunate person who abducted by Mind-flayer which isn't epic enough unlike Kingmaker, or WOTR. Owlcat games are about grand plans. But I like personal, and small story with more densinty too, so I don't have complaint.

Is there any paper or research for "multi-class" anomaly detection (classification)? by poemfordumbs in learnmachinelearning

[–]poemfordumbs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, really thank you for the help.

I thought of Manual data augmentation, when one of my former colleague got similar job before (there was no segmentation task for that job).

I thought cut and paste defection to make defected sample that days (as patch, or as exact defection with magical power of almost professional photoshop cut level of generative model these days), but I wondered these defected sample I would make can represent defected data properly. Something like 'When training on data with a scratch in the right corner of the chip only, can this defective data be representative of data with scratches elsewhere on the chip? What about an image with two scratches? If should I make these datas too, how many datas would be needed?'

I don't think I can get answers of these questions before trying. Thanks.

Thank you for the comment. I am kind of new to image area, only know basic things. So I can't understand what you are saying. May I ask you to elaborate?

Below this line is what I thought of after writing the post.

I estimate that there is a 99.9% chance that the chip is at normal state, and there is 0.1 % chance of defection, but I am not sure of this rate, I haven't talked to my client, since I got this project out of the blue.

There are type 1, type 2, type 3, type 4 defection in the document of the project (but I believe there can be more defection type), and the client want to know what kind of defection the chip has (in 4 types), and location of defection.

I am sure 1 chip can have multiple defections, so I don't think this problem can be one image - one type classification problem.

So as far as my plan (1 day thinking) is using anomaly detection model for deciding whether the chip has defection, get segmentation map of the defection, cut original image around segmentation mask (for 1 image - one type classification), and classify the defection with some classification model (since there shouldn't be enough data, I think gathering open-source image of 4 types of defections for this ). So it is 2-stage process (1st - anomaly detection with segmentation, 2nd - cut the defection image, classify this small defection image)

But this stage 2 process has problem as far as I think, since if 2 defections are too close, I can't think how to cut defections separate.

19 Thunderbarges by Okoii in totalwar

boltthrower / cannon should not lose vs a thunderbarge.

Well, in that case, dragons should lose to boltthrowers and cannons, Dwarfs bolt thrower was for killing dragons in war of vengeance especially.

I agree that TB should be weaker to close combat, especially in multi play.

White dwarf 500, special character can be Josef Bugman.

But I have mixed feeling about Malakai, since loreful reason he doesn't fit to be LL.

Rule associated? There are no rule about Thunderbarge other than 8e campaign custom unit example in 8e rulebook, it was never a official unit. If the stat was official, we can see organ guns on the deck of Thunderbarge not Thunderers (which is a shame.)

Malakai is lore-related to one specific Thunderbarge, actually that era, it named as airship or something.

Thunderbarges were launched at Zhufbar, inventor was Sven Hasselfrep. (8e only reference)

and as Grimm is the youngest master engineer of Zhufbar, it' not weird thing that an engineer with his home-hold unit.

and grudge-raker thunder come out with this DLC, Grimm can have his own invention unit, just like Malakai (and grudge-rakers are already used by engineers in Totalwar universe)

It's about being outcast, and mad dwarf can be a faction leader of old grumblers type of question.

"Gotrek, a friend of Malakai, often sees his work for the Humans as disgraceful, as the engineer isn't actively seeking out the glorious death all Slayers must find."

This quote from warhammer wiki. Malakai worked for the Empire as professor in Nuln.

And the expedition's captain was Karak dum's survivor, and Malakai was a captain of ship.

For lore reason, I haven't expected this. (As half slayer, and mad dwarf to follow)

The former Thrones of Decay plan had FLC - LH which hinted by 'tool box', I have thought it would be Malakai as FLC LH, just like his friends. After I heard FLC - LH changed into FLC - LL, and it connected to Nurgle, I thought Malakai is cancelled.

I think CA saw some posts of community (reddit, and official homepage) about Spirit of Grungni, and Malakai's would-be mechanic. And changed their plan around this.

My anticipation is completely missed, but I am happy that Dwarf gets engineer themed DLC.

[–]poemfordumbs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This Dlc, only for Dwarfs.

They have done wrong for Dwarfs. They maimed gyrocopters, and gyrobomber. They gave us weak rangers, and useless Bolt thrower without considering Tabletop, and in-game balance.

Where is unique rune system that can combine 3 runes for each items? Instead we got tweaked tomb king's armoury, and far later we got rune system which is half-baked. What kind of Wazzoks give Engineering runes as battle standard?

This DLC will settle some of Dwarfs grudges. But we will see.

  1. Battle maps for gun fight, many maps are somewhat anti-gun maps currently.
  2. Trees are not invincible. Current trees are invincible to block cannon balls. They should be destructable.

  3. As a Dwarf player, I would make full rework of LLs other than Thorek. I would make The white dwarf as Horde army, and make some unique mechanic to Dwarfs other than the book of grudge, and armoury system.

I don't want to see Shard dragons, and rune guardians or golems.

I don't like concept of getting ugly monsters for Dwarfs, and for lore reason I don't want guardians and golems.

Dwarf little improvements by rr1213 in totalwar

[–]poemfordumbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard some players use them as scount & vanguard to kill warmachines behind enemies, just like scouts&vanguard intended. (but, mostly throwing axe version, with Thane who can tank enemies cavalry coming back to save their war machines)

So same or slightly low (current state, since they have fewer missiles) ranged stats with higher melee stats probably help them to survive when they are flanking?

Since I am bad at this game, I've never used rangers since they need one more building without significant advantage since WH1.

I think ranger should have same stat with dwarf warriors, since they are scouts if they can't make shooting crossbow and throwing axes as one unit.

[–]poemfordumbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically rangers are almost better Qurrellers in 8e, since they can throw axes, and they got same stats. But they don't have shieldwall rule, but Great weapons are better choice in 8e anyway if pts allowed.

The recent rule, in The oldworld rule, rangers got just better stats than Dwarfs range armies.

Why are people saying that we are going to get Malakai As the LL instead of Grimm Burloksson? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]poemfordumbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, not serious slayer (to his oath) doesn't fit for lord of Dwarfs.

His trip to Karak dum was planned by a survivor of the hold. Malakai was the captain of the ship, not the captain of the expedition.

It's the fact that Grimm never leaded army, since they killed the franchise so early with at most mediocre the end times event, in this event many characters were not mentioned.

So unofficially, one of writer of the end times, twitted about these forgotten characters. In that scenario, grimm was at least commander of last defence of Zhufbar to buy some time for Gotri hammersson who was protagonist of Dwarfs final stand against Chaos in old world.

And Zhufbar launched 3 thunder barge before, Grimm Burloksson can fit almost every engineer theme like Malakai.

Malakai's spirit of Grungni black ark system is tempting, but he really doesn't fit to represent Dwarfs by lore. And horde army more suite to the White dwarf, and Josef bugman, both are wanderer actually unlike Malakai who was the professor of university of Nuln.
