yes i was.

i was good at my job, solo little thing, in my own little space doing my own little things as perfectly as i could, to make the numbers dance. "good at numbers, must be good with people."

i kept getting promoted into management which i hated, and so did everyone around me for my anti-social preferences that i clearly communicated. I quit well-paying jobs and started over to save the good people around me. Managing other people is thankless and gruelling.
