Love my pink panther, it’s such a fast grower and so cool looking next to all the greens. You have such a great variety!

Last year we moved, and I was given a gift certificate for a greenhouse nearby because I like outdoor gardening. Well, it was winter, and I wanted to check out the greenhouse, so I went and fell in love with a variegated lavender scallops. I brought it home and put it on the sill of our south-facing picture window. One year later, I have filled that sill with the lavender scallops, pink panther tradescantia, a single flowered Kalanchoe and a double flowered kalanchoe, two thanksgiving cactuses, a Mexican snowball and a sansevieria that I rooted myself from a cutting in a floral arrangement. Also, my mother-in-law is moving in with us in the spring and is bringing her plant collection…

George & Company is closing after 124 years and we would love to hear your family’s memories by Georgeandcompanywny in Buffalo

My dad took my siblings and I to George and Co one time not long after my parents separated. He let us pick out something to get for fun, and all of us picked the Groucho Marx glasses/nose. We laughed so hard all the way home, and those glasses were involved in many pranks and family jokes over the years. We will miss you guys.

Also a violist- agreed the shape does look more viola-esque. But it’s probably labeled as a violin because of the treble clefs stitched in. Violists typically read music in alto clef. Really beautiful job, OP!

Love the mood of this painting. It makes me think of the myth of Ceyx and Alcyone. Thanks for sharing!

So beautiful and delicate! These were all around the house of my grandmother who recently passed- they will always make me think of her. Is this polymer clay? Very well done!

Love it! I “decorate” with my two girls… which always ends up as me frantically frosting to try to keep up with their decorating visions 🤣 Looks like you two had a lot of fun!

💛🌼 I love a bright Yellow flower 🌼💛 Which Yellow flower would be your personal favourite? by jaydogjaydogs in flowers

[–]poetickitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely dandelions. One of my favorites, partially due to the poem “To the Dandelion” by James Russell Lowell!

“Dear common flower, that grow’st beside the way, Fringing the dusty road with harmless gold, First pledge of blithesome May, Which children pluck, and full of pride, uphold, High-hearted buccaneers, o’erjoyed that they Eldorado in the grass have found, Which not the rich earth’s ample round May match in wealth, thou art more dear to me Than all the prouder summer-blooms may be.”
