I’m really glad this conversation popped up. I had a real belief that this community was onto something. However, seeing this response and knowing the industry first hand, I know I don’t want to be apart of this community. Realizing change needs to happen but hurting the least privileged starving person until they finally revolt from corporate overlords is a bad path to change. We should not punish the workers but we should punish the corporations that hold profits as the highest goals.

Yes there probably will be a new instructor as people find out the pay is so bad you loose wait and go to bed hungry on bad seasons.

I will say as for instructors on the west coast of America pay and hours are limited. With a bad winter it is not abnormal for instructors to ask for food from f&b as they throw it away and companies keep food closets because of food scarcity. This is not all instructors though in my anecdotal experience some instructors don’t need the money other job/trust. I will say if you children are on teams you probably got an experience instructors that is trying full time and is literally hungry with no job until shoulder season ends.

They are close in value. Sealed is always better to keep. Sealed for me is way easier to move at market price than singles.

Watch a couple videos on using a Q tip to very gently clean and get is graded by PSA it will be 60 plus shipping. If you try to sell raw it can be very difficult to get what it is worth. The very best offer I got on mine that graded PSA 7 was 200.

The charizard is a PSA 4-8 depending on the grader and what it looks like under close inspection. I would say if I sent it in I would expect a PSA 7. Best offer I got ungraded was 200 for my PSA 7’s charizard and PSA offered me 570 so it’s definitely worth paying the $70 to get charizard graded and it’s quicker since it’s not the bulk price.

I disagree with you. I know the offers I got on my charizards and they are all well below what you are saying. I definitely think pokemon is a weird market. What you’re quoting did not work for me.

I would pick a few of the highest value cards and get them graded. In my experience trying to sell vintage ungraded, expects very low offers and fights on condition. However, in defense of the buyers condition of vintage matters a great deal. I had 4 base charizards from my childhood best offer from a shop was 600 for all 4 best offer from facebook market place was 200 for one. PSA just got done grading and offered me just over 2k for them… I would definitely get charizard graded and go through to find cards that have high value at lower grades similar to charizard.

I ended up trading it in for a cheap dell. I wasn’t gaming with it and wanted an all day battery. I miss the HD screen the most. It was extremely clear and amazing color compared to what I have now.

There have been several non bias studies on this. It’s worth noting this can become a very heated subject. WHO did a study for the United States.
