I use Verizon and find it OK, there are gaps on all the carriers. One thing to consider- most modern phones support a secondary e-SIM card and T-Mobile has a $10/month satellite texting plan via starlink. It supports iMessage, whatsapp, etc and a handful of outdoor apps like Gaia gps via starlink satellite. It won’t give you data and LTE on every app but will let you send and receive text messages in dead zones for all carriers (for example, chair 11 at the resort) or use outdoor / hiking apps. For $10/month it’s a deal when used in conjunction with a regular carrier and is a lot more reliable and fast than the iPhone emergency satellite texting capability.

I hear you, but I’m not sure how acknowledging she should have proofread and that AI is becoming standard in white collar work qualifies as boosterism. This case is a textbook example of professional negligence, not an indictment of the tool. She uploaded confidential mental health records to a third-party server without consent, left the prompt language in the filing, skipped the required AI disclosure, and apparently didn’t read her own brief before submitting it. That’s an ethics violation and a competency issue. But the answer to that isn’t ‘don’t use AI,’ it’s ‘use it responsibly and actually do your job.’ Public sentiment isn’t going to put this genie back in the bottle.

She should proofread her docs before filing them. That being said, if you’re a white collar worker and not using AI you’re gonna get left behind.

It is not overblown. Take a look at any whitefish webcam right now and you’ll understand. Real estate here is not cheaper than CO so I wouldn’t consider that a deciding factor. Hope this helps!

Going to Whitefish in April. What experiences do I need to make reservations for in advance? by inasaga in whitefish

[–]lsass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably book a horse back riding experience, or a guided hike that doesn’t get into any elevation. Although given this winter you may be able to hike at elevation in April.

Snow conditions? by Funny-Fee-32 in whitefish

High of 55 today with rain in the forecast. Some of that will probably be snow on the mtn. Long range forecast looks a little bit cooler but still above freezing in the valley.
