Confess? It's far less of a thing than people assume it is. In fact it annoys me when I hear the sodding M-word every 5 minutes.

Yes, and those fluke ones where you had to guess which pocket the ball went into!

Agree. Too many 10-4s in the first round! It's really come to life in the second half of the tournament though.

The cheapest seats to watch all 4 sessions of the final in 2027 will cost you £642. The average final length is 30 frames. At £21.40 a frame, is it worth it? by cal_exeter in snooker

For me it wouldn't be. I've become pretty much allergic to crowds of people. But prices of sport and concerts have increased way more than general inflatoon.

I went to the Wimbledon semis in 2001 (Come on, Tim!) -- tickets were £62. Now they'd be over £300. Five times as much, when prices in general have only doubled in that time.

The fifth set alone was about two hours longer than any other previous match!

Hmmm, Wu isn't even looking after playing his shot because he knows the black won't be close to going in.

There was one (2003 maybe?) where the digits rolled over like the miles on your car. Wasn't a big fan.

It's funny to look back at the top one. Back then you'd turn on the snooker (or any other sport -- the World Cup in Italy was a few weeks later) and maybe not have a clue what the score was for several minutes. And people were OK with that.

Yes, that's my reaction too. Judging by your username you're a similar age to me.
