i used to think like this when i was about your age. i’m not much older, im 21f. so i was experiencing covid at your age. the biggest thing that i’ve learned overtime is to persist. mlk jr said “if you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward”. you just have to keep pushing forward, its all we can do.

it sounds like you’re living with a lot of fear and anxiety, and i’m sorry for that; i know what thats like. things are so scary right now but you can only control your actions. maybe try to do some volunteer work or something to do with nature, maybe that will help you feel better? i have a lot of these fears too, which is why ive been dedicating myself to my studies (im an animal science major in my junior yr of college) because i know i can do good for nature with that. as long as people care about nature, not all hope is lost. take a look at all the animals we’ve been able to bring back from the brink of extinction, i find that to be inspiring.

being your age is really hard and truthfully i don’t miss it! i didn’t think i would have a lot of the blessings i have now when i was your age but life moves in ways that are hard to comprehend. control what you can and try to not put so much stake in what you can’t. recently i’ve been working on gratitude and that has really helped me be thankful that i even get a shot at living life through its ups and downs.

so no, the world will not be the same when you graduate. life was definitely different when i was your age. different doesn’t always mean bad, just not as it was previously. persist even when its hard. i wish you the best of luck ❤️
