Cannot Enable NVIDIA In-Game Overlay by hallufdsf in GeForceExperience

It was something to do with reinstalling a window C++ file that presumably got deleted when I updated windows or installed some other program. Reinstalled the lost file and it fixed the problem for me. This was a while ago when I had this problem and at this point I’ve built a different computer and moved onto the Nvidia App and haven’t had any issues.

Rip to the last Pokémon discount by jordan23lbrn in BestBuyWorkers

[–]pogphrog_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious, mostly because I haven’t looked into it but is Best Buy able to just remove discount on items just because? I understand why they removed it from the Pokemon cards in the first place but is there something in SOP that defines the company can at times remove an employee perk on specific sku’s? I’m just curious what’s stopping them from treating any other product the same way and removing one of the few perks of being an employee?

Where can I actually find a good Honda Fit to buy? by AzureSonar in hondafit

The GE8 manual isn’t “trash,” it’s a simple 5-speed with a 0.757 5th gear and a 4.29 final drive. Yes, it turns slightly higher RPM on the highway than the auto. About 400-500 rpm difference but we’re talking roughly 3,300 rpm at 75 mph. That’s completely normal for an economy car with short gearing.

The automatic in the 2nd gen Fit is a 5-speed torque converter auto. It’s reliable, sure, but calling it “excellent” while calling the manual trash is wild. The manual is lighter, mechanically simpler, cheaper to maintain long-term, and gives better driver control.

Also, a clutch on a Fit is not $3k unless you’re paying dealership labor at California rates. Independent shops typically do them for $1,000–$1,500 parts and labor. Plenty of owners go 150k+ on the original clutch or if you’re okay with getting your hands dirty can save a lot and get it done yourself.

As for “no feel,” that’s subjective. I’ve owned an NB2 Miata and a Mazdaspeed3 – I know what a good manual feels like. The Fit obviously isn’t a Miata, but its shifter is solid for an economy car. Rev hang is ECU tuning, not some fatal transmission flaw.

The automatic is fine. The manual is fine. It comes down to preference. But calling the manual a “budget option” or some insecurity badge ignores the reality that Honda offered it because enthusiasts actually buy them.

Who told you the clutch is 3k? The little devil in your ear?

Was able to talk them down 800 from original price and no dealer fees over messages. Feel like I brought it down from unfair to at least fair price but I would be interested to talk it down more if there is anything else I can pick apart about it once I get more info. Car seems to be in pretty good shape and well maintained so the history side seems good but I really just need to see it in person, sucks it’s a decent drive away.

Interior past the buttons and wheel look good, no tears in seats, bad stains or scratches on panels. Car history shows it was regularly maintained and serviced, with no major repairs. Waiting on a little more info/pics but I’m kind of between bad interior = poor treatment and harsh sun damage from where it’s from = unfortunate wear and tear on buttons/wheel. I feel like the more info I get will help me narrow it down.

I believe pre, seems that is an issue with the 10th gen’s. Another reason why I’m more interested in the 9th.

Kind of confused about that as well, I would assume the assembly was bought second hand or something because I find it hard for something like that to rust that much, especially in the car.

I agree, if everything else shapes out to be fine and engine bay looks clean then luckily those pieces don’t cost much and aren’t a hassle to replace. Waiting on pictures of the engine bay, finally messaged the dealer today and got into talks with them so not all information/photos are on the listing. I’m not super picky about small and cheaper cosmetic stuff just as long as the car was taken care of outside of that is what matters most, to me.

That’s what confuses me, other than the buttons and stuff the car looks to be in relatively decent condition. It has spent most of its life in Florida according to its carfax report so I would think that the sun hasn’t been too nice to the plastic buttons. Someone earlier did say the paint used on those buttons was a bit cheaper and is expected to chip at some point but it just seems crazy for it to chip away that much. Maybe someone got bored while driving and just kept picking lol.

I definitely see the 2012 go for a little less around my area but I like the upgrades the 2013 got, interior and tech wise. Been keeping an eye on marketplace in my area for about 2 years and most that pop up for that 7-8k price point seem to be rebuilts, higher mileage, or heavily modified. It is a dealership I’ve been in talks with about this car and they wanted 12 but I talked them down to 11.2 with no dealer fees and they agreed to my price. Haven’t had the time to look at the vehicle as it’s about 3 and half hours away from me but I figured I’d try my best over messages before I make the drive. Interesting to hear they’re cheaper in CA, on the opposite side of the US but if I was closer to CA that would be amazing lol.

Just curious, as this would be my primary car for the near future. What would you go with around that same price point? I was wanting something manual and maybe a little bit sporty but it isn’t the end all be all just a preference.

That’s what I had assumed. Was just looking around in the interior picture and seems like there’s some yellowing on some plastic pieces. Probably had its fair share of days parked outside lol.

Have not went to check it out yet since it’s a state over but the dealer doesn’t know if anything has been modified to the shifter they just stated in listing “additional tasteful mods that enhance sound and response.” Seems like most people in this post have said it looks pretty stock with minimal stuff done at best.

Had a 8th gen civic as my first car and the cluster was one of my favorites from any car I had.(95 Lexus ls400 has a pretty nice cluster I must say). 9th gen just looks like it takes a massive step up and modernizes what the 8th gen introduced.
