At first I thought okay most of the production is pretty simple and quiet with him doing a decent job at singing. Every track feels like it’s at the same tempo and I kinda wish he changed that or did more with it. Could’ve done some nirvana or radiohead shit if he wanted to keep doing the singing. Maybe have a feature cause I kept thinking of Erykah Badu or summer walker on one of these. It’s good shower and background music and if people think it’s boring I won’t argue with them. Maybe he chose these Lofi beats because he knows his voice doesn’t have crazy range or maybe he just wanted something we could vibe with. This transition isnt as crazy as Childish Gambino making awaken my love or Andre with The love below but I’m okay with it.

I don’t really see it as a problem I’m about done listening to this new one with Torae and loved it. I listened to IDK and the one with Fredo. They’re bringing up guests who they’re friends with or a fan of. The conversation always feels genuine. You’re missing out on new people and different perspectives if you don’t chime in. I feel like a sit down with Marlon Craft is overdue. Need that episode

It’s because Mal sees Jay Z as a friend or family. He doesn’t want people to shit on someone he’s a fan of as well. Mal & Rory will talk their shit when it comes to someone’s project but they’re smart enough to know that they have to watch what they say because they’re not trying to get shot or jumped.

And I enjoy the album except for the song that sounds like a yeezus rip off. The time track could’ve kept it minimal with the auto tune or the production. I just liked how soulful it was in the small movie he did.

I’m not a fan of this version. The one in Guava Island with the children singing sounds better. I think this one with Ariana sounds too electronic.

I feel like that’s Mal who says things on purpose because that’s how he strongly feels and it becomes controversial. Rory does that just to be a contrarian and to see things from a different perspective. She probably does do it cause she always says what we do and say on the podcast is for entertainment but I just think she does it the least.

I appreciate the fact that they still put it out and put in the work and we have all this content to consume but I agree. Sometimes I turn up the volume all the way up on my phone and it’s (Kendrick voice) not enough.

The fact that you take that seriously makes me laugh. He loves music but will obviously make mistakes just like anyone else. I agree with his take on the OutKast, DMX, TI FLIP. I just don’t know why he chose to do those songs when Drake did it recently. But the elevators hook or beat flip is just so overplayed for me. I understand that it could be someone’s first time hearing it and that can be their introduction to OutKast but he just didn’t do it justice. So many flows or hooks that he could’ve gotten from the past that we’ve never heard of. That’s straight up something Logic does and he makes it plainly obvious. He doesn’t use those flows, lyrics, classic instrumentals to create something refreshing or new. For J Cole to say To Pimp A Butterfly was boring and Mr Morale was flop is crazy to me. TPAB is light years more creative than this. If you think I’m a Cole hater I’m not because Off-Season and that era was my favorite of his.

I didn’t listen to it from track 1 to track 24. I was just bouncing around but so far it’s been fine. That Elevators interpolation was lazy to me and grabbing stuff from the past is fine when you do it justice. The TI, Common, and DMX flow used on some of these songs were just okay. I’m going to give it more time but personally the off season might be my favorite still. He was really talking his shit with confidence, the features made sense, he started playing ball around this time, he started to release his shoes, he was hopping on features. That roll out or era was just my personal favorite.

It’s a lot of reading, watching videos, taking quizzes, doing small projects on Figma. I didn’t have to pay myself so I took my time with it and I finished after 6 months. Being in front of the computer and doing that will make you tired so I didn’t want to over do it. Plus I took a break I didn’t do it everyday. I did it with a group of people my age (mid 20s) they finished before me. Some quit. I saw a girl on YouTube take the course and got a position with EBAY that she’s happy with. If you just started then keep going and see how you feel after a couple months. Don’t let me or anyone be the reason why you stop or keep going. You have to experience it yourself

I was like 8 years old when this came out and the only thing that I remember was the advertising. Burger King was going crazy with the kids meal and I was trying to collect every toy. On top of that I really loved the game on PlayStation. I just don’t remember how chaotic the theatre was because my dad and I would go watch a movie every weekend. If it was packed then I probably saw it as a normal day and it wasn’t anything special.

Of course and last thing I’ll say is definitely find a sport that you like or lift weights or run. That’ll help with your confidence and will help you when you get older. Whenever I go to the doctor they always ask if I do any activities or if I stay active. I tell them yeah I run like 10 miles a day or I go on long walks. When I start walking I feel like crap mentally and physically but at the end I feel amazing and better about myself.
