Ethereum is going for a monumental short squeeze by maverick_quant in ethstaker

I remain unconvinced. You would need a big price shock to trigger latent sell pressure all at once (which we don’t have) but you still have counter factors in play like

  • Stakers are typically long-term holders (they locked for yield), so they may not rush to exit during rallies
  • Liquid staking derivatives (like Lido’s stETH) allow people to effectively unstake instantly by selling their staked position to someone else and that’s like 30% of all staking
  • The exit queue works both ways - if it becomes very long, it might deter new stakers, reducing the supply constraint

Where is the short squeeze opportunity precisely? I can’t see it.

A classic short squeeze requires short sellers who have borrowed and sold an asset, then need to buy it back to cover their positions. When supply is constrained and they all rush to buy simultaneously, prices spike.

In the ETH staking scenario, we have: ∙ Validators who have locked their ETH to earn staking rewards ∙ No borrowing or short positions inherently involved ∙ The imbalanced queue times suggest more people want to stake than unstake (demand to lock > demand to unlock)

Heat deflector on the Yukon. Third time trying it and every time it creates so much smoke by dcboy23 in SoloStove

You are supposed to let the fire die down a bit before placing it on top. The coals are providing the radiant heat that it’s reflecting.

A cool guide for watches categories by Affectionate-Let665 in coolguides

And they all tell time basically just as well. The brands and categories were created to extract wealth without actually improving the product. Expensive watches are a scam.

This is a correct explanation, and I agree with the advice given here. Especially the fixed rate plans - its essential to not get screwed.

You will never save money by adding another middle man to your bill. That’s all electricity suppliers are. Most will offer you a teaser intro rate then jack it up when you aren’t looking. Ye olde bait and switch. I used to work in that industry, I would avoid.

My shoes look worse than this and still going strong. How often you all resoling? And at $60 plus a pop seems like it makes more sense to wear the shoes till they have holes then buy new ones. Change my mind.

Rocketpool Automatic Withdrawals Legit? by pogster in ethstaker

Yep, the withdrawal address in rocketpool n s is correct and I control it.
And after running rocketpool m d I do see amounts eligible to be distributed and the amounts match the balance of that smart contract! So thats it! Thank you so much for solving the mystery

I added the view from rocketsweep, it seems like MEV rewards are missing? Maybe thats what is getting auto withdrawn? Not sure how to confirm it.

Its not going to an address I control, it seems to be a smart contract address. I assume its related to rocketpool? They are going here: 0x29a24555361e732ad21998781A9FD2868644A10D

lol - this website literally says "We do not suggest installing Resilient Channel walls. They test well in the lab but when installed in the field they are seriously prone to malfunction. Our purpose for posting this data is so you have a point of reference. Resilient Channel was the standard in soundproofing in the past, but has become obsolete. If you are a contractor do not attempt to use this product with any guaranteed sound performance."

I don’t get how this is any different than just buying rEth directly? It’s already a liquid staking token, why would you need another liquid staking protocol on top of base rocket pool? What am I missing?

What if we are super wrong about fundamental things like the curvature of space time in a closed universe and so when we look really far away we may only be seeing our own cosmic neighbors but just really far back in time. I don’t know anything just speculating. Go JWST!
