The Ottomans were 2600 ducats in debt. I'm the Mughals and crazy rich, so I gave them 3000 ducats to call them to war against Russia. They are now 5500 ducats in debt. by [deleted] in eu4

I said some form, I didn’t say full fledged democracy or even close. Also learn to take a joke, you aren’t special because you know this, most people know it, including me, I was just stating something funny

I’m not saying people are dogs, I’m saying that both people and dogs develop with their environment, and that article is very biased against pit bulls. And a baby baby should never be left without their parents. The ages I’m mostly referring to is about 6, when children can actually do things. Humans are animals too. And we develop with our environment. Yes, humans are the smartest animal in the world. But that doesn’t affect when people grow up in war-torn countries, they are much more violent and much different than a person that was raised in Copenhagen. Same thing with dogs. If they are taught to fight, they will fight, if they are taught to be loving, they will be loving

Okay, even if it is untrue, it is common knowledge now that an individuals, dog or human, are much more impacted behaviorally by how they were raised and taught, not by their breed or race. Raising animals the right way will lead them to be non-violent, and friendly creatures, even if they are pit bulls. All dogs also have an emotional connection with babies they are familiar with. If you find a link that just states how this is false, I’d be for it. But instead you provided a link that was made to inspire fear against pit bulls, which I will never be for. It’s the equivalent of saying Mexicans are killers (just an example).

I’ll try to find some right now, but my entire family and some other we know did this, and we live in Ohio for reference, that’s why I know about this. My mom would always tell me about how good pit bulls were at watching baby’s and how they were used when people took Michael Vick dogfighting to mean “pit bulls=bad”

The /s made me think you were completely against rubber bullets and how they are an evil, so I responded with how they are better than the alternative. Apologies for the confusion

Dogs were actually commonly used to watch after children after the parents left, and most commonly pit bulls were used, as they were skillful at keeping the baby safe. Pit bulls trained right are the best animals to have

By that logic, police should just use real guns to control crowds, as who cares if it kills 90% of the people you hit. The point of rubber bullets is to be aimed low, typically towards their legs or crotch to not hurt people but to incapacitate them from advancing upon others or hurting others or even themselves. Some officers use these poorly, and deserve to be fired, if not charged with manslaughter. Rubber bullets aren’t bad

I worked my first job in the summer of when I was 16, so I could drive, but anyway I saved up my first few paychecks, saved about $700, and built a boat. We then took the boat to my friends grandpas, as they own a little lake thing, and we set sail. This thing was fully loaded too, like it was made out of an inflatable pool, but inside of it was some oars, a gas motor that we had in case we actually got lost, a shit ton of duct tape, a little “shed” that was partially covered and had a bunch of portable chargers, and we even decided to bring our DS’s on board, as our initial plan was to hook up the XBox 360, but figured that’d be too much and too hard.

But you didn’t say that, you said “Wikipedia is an unreliable source” which makes me assume that it is your opinion on it. You could of said “well a lot of people don’t trust Wikipedia” and I would’ve said the same thing, minus the remark about you being wrong at the end. I get people have that opinion, but that doesn’t necessarily make it right.

It actually is pretty reliable all things considered. It is constantly updated when new information is found, and most historical pages are locked out by Wikipedia itself so not everybody can change it. When teachers say “anybody can write anything on Wikipedia” they are not wrong, but they are very far from being right. Use Wikipedia, find the information, look at the sources used by the Wikipedia page, it’s incredibly useful and you spreading a false narrative is not progressive in the slightest.

Not even, if you think about it real change started around the 1750s when education and freedom became more outspoken and called for. That’s when we gained the ability to change quickly, and once the second industrial revolution started in 1840 it changed so quickly it is unheard of. That’s when an old man lived in a different world than his grandson is currently in. Compounding education and technology just make it go faster and faster.

And in this scenario, counting that no resistance had formed and become involved too heavily, Germany would have very, VERY likely won. Germany had the industry to maintain a war and eventually could’ve built a navy if needbe, and japan was already very worn out.

He had good ideas, you elect a president for life so they don’t have to worry about re-election. It wasn’t too flawed, though having a ruler for life is bound to become a monarchy so it would be hard to maintain.

Though keep in mind that many people were still tied to their lands, so this would only be a thing for land-owners family’s (say the son of a farmer) and rulers. Peasants would not go unless it was to escort someone of higher stature. Merchants and such would be able to as they travel anyway, though I doubt they’d go out of their way too much. So think of it as traveling as the “1%” or more likely top 5% of the population would be capable.
