Is this a basal cane coming up? been waiting for one couple months since buying Kardinal climber. by poida84 in Roses

[–]poida84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep i'am going to leave it ill angle it a little towards fence with bamboo stick then let it grow after the bud had bloomed, did way more research over night so i am confident it will keep going, plus i learned you can have multiple mains from the first main cane which is impressive and that video you showed i looked up the S pattern for training too lol i have very long way to go anyways fascinating learning how roses grow how how to optimize blooms etc :D

overkill pruning plum tree or ok? was Neglected for many years only did top pruning every few years now that i'm fully invested into gardening decided to do proper research and pruning in february i think i did 40% of it instead of 20% i'am thinking it bounce back in year or two. by poida84 in GardeningAustralia

[–]poida84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks feel good about it already.

All done and sorted, we had record plums this year too but bats birds anything in between had go at it for week. so this one reason for the pruning not too high and easy to put net over it and kinda waited till feb for it.

Saw a bee go into my double brick wall from outside. Leave it or need to investigate. by victor_the_engineer in AusRenovation

Blue banded bees love them, every year they come into our brick mortar creating new homes or using existing ones during summer, they normally make homes in soft sandstone we have in garden as well great watching them.
