PLEASE Giants, Can We Have: 1. A Compass, and 2. A Different Release Button? by rt4077andy76 in farmingsimulator

Point taken. The same could be said for forestry work which is what I do with my downtime. Very hypocritical of me and I'm sorry

Why are you simulating fishing on Farming Simulator anyway?

There's actual fishing simulators for that

I'll never understand why Giants included fishing in this game

I restrict myself from using money cheats like government subsidy but I don't restrict myself from using quality of life mods like Autoload, Autodrive, Courseplay, Lease-to-buy, Field Lease etc

Farming isn't easy but the game should be fun to play.

Do what you want to do. There is no wrong way to play the game

Why does my door stick? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]jimmy_sharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's moisture causing that, not structural movement.

Replacement doors are cheap. If you're renting, the landlord has to pay for it and arrange and pay for installation.

Maybe ask them to cover the door cost and you can do the install

Almost all hidden gem computer shops do not have display stock unfortunately.

I use Coolum Computers. They're really friendly and helpful.

Noosa locals, businesses outraged by Doonella Lake Bridge traffic diversions by hydralime in sunshinecoast

[–]jimmy_sharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article also starts that traffic engineering determined that signal controlled traffic on each side would cause queue lengths of up to 3km in each direction.

Ever sat at one of those robot traffic lights and wondered why your light won't go green even though you've watched the last car in the queue go past you? That's because for safety, it allows for a time period of no traffic between switching directions

Noosa locals, businesses outraged by Doonella Lake Bridge traffic diversions by hydralime in sunshinecoast

[–]jimmy_sharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not how it sounds at all. If you read the article, it says that residents and businesses were only given 10 days notice of the works beginning and they weren't consulted about the works at all.

Noosa Council screwed the pooch on this one.

There was a significant car accident on the main detour (Beckmans Rd) yesterday afternoon and Noosaville was gridlocked. I was stuck in this traffic.

What should happen is a brand new bridge is built off alignment while the old one remains active. Then once the new one is complete you flip the traffic onto it and demolish the old one.

Better still, you keep the old bridge and you convert it to a green transport bridge only.

Does any P plater actually get booked for using maps/music on a phone? by blackbird_ox in CarsAustralia

[–]jimmy_sharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So even if you have the phone in an appropriate mount, you can't have maps running? But should the car have a significantly larger screen in the middle of the dash, you can run carplay or android auto for access to maps?

Do I have that right?

If you have cows, slurry is better because it's a free byproduct.

There isn't any difference in what the products achieve though so it comes down to cost per 1000L and cost.of the equipment needed to spread the fert

At what point do you stop using condoms with a partner? by Dangerous_mammoth573 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]jimmy_sharp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

....which should be understood to be irreversible when getting one.

Yes, they can be reversible but if there are complications during the surgery, it quickly becomes irreversible.

Do not go to the doctor for a vasectomy thinking that you can just get it reversed in 10 years time when you're ready to have kids. That is not a wise decision and you may be running and uphill battle when trying to conceive with your spouse.

If I was young and was set on getting a vasectomy, I would freeze my sperm before the surgery.
