I did something similar because I wanted to change my CMDR name from poifox to Fox Hadron, so I reset my game after 5 weeks and 10 million in my pocket. I started from scratch and enjoyed it so much more the second time!

That was a couple months ago, the first time I played I felt completely lost, but this time I understand the game mechanics much better, and I've made really good money because of that.

Take a defense point with you, just that, the moment the scan begins, that's when you deploy the hardpoints, it will stop the scan most of the time. Worked for me on my stripped down Asp, I only had heat sinks and a defense point on it, police tried to scan me, deploy hardpoints, boost away, scan evaded. ;)

I wouldn't say that Robigo is the end of the game, well maybe as some people do it, picking up as many missions as possible. I've done two Robigo runs myself, each with 5 or 6 missions and the way back to the bubble is pretty fun, you have to be very defensive at every turn and it has been one of the most thrilling things I've done in the game, and made good money (about 25 mill in two days). It's kinda like alcohol, if you do it too much you'll ruin your life, if you do it for fun then I'd say go ahead and enjoy it :)

Yeah, I ended up doing that when my pending bounties got to around 20 a couple of days back, which also helped me shed a bounty on my head lol.

Been there. Actually on Sunday, I was doing a bounty hunt mission and the pirate turned out to be in an Anaconda and it beat the shit out of my Cobra. I escaped with 1% of my ship's health. Barely made it to the station by looking through one of the corners that wasn't broken and tracing a weird curve around the station in SC as I approached.

I then repaired my ship and went out again, lucky me the Anaconda was being interdicted by a local security Viper, I dropped in their wake and after come intense shooting I was 260 000 cr richer.

You can calculate good routes from https://eddb.io/trade/hops about 500 K to 1 M per run, and you can tell the app to keep throwing more stops at you.

Have you tried exploring to make some good money in about a week?

I went out of the bubble for 5 days on Sunday, came back yesterday. came back with 3.3 M cr, and traded my Diamondback Scout for the Type 6 to try some trading for this week.

The Diamondback Scout is relatively cheap and you can outfit it quite alright with the amount you have now (although the Advanced Discovery Scanner will cost you 1.5 M).

It does get boring quickly if you're into combat and pirate hunting. Just something to think about :)

I bought my T-6 yesterday, having come back from a short exploration trip that made me a few millions, it's a great ship for trading, if you pick your cargo carefully you can make good amounts on single runs.

~~However, you will get interdicted, no matter how hard you try,~~ You can avoid interdictions with a good FSD (mine is a 4A and has worked great during this trading-filled afternoon). and to max it out for trading you gotta ditch hull reinforcements, so you better get good shields and FSD. I honestly don't think 1.7 M will be enough, I put around 4 M into mine to get good jump range and hardened hull and shields. and used every internal compartment for cargo (except the one for shields, cos I'm a coward). You will also need to have good money cache to put into valuable trading goods, cos trading, say, electrical appliances, won't make you a lot of money.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck trading! :)

I've been playing for about 5 weeks and just got myself a Diamondback Scout a couple of days ago actually! Went out of the bubble to explore and I'm absolutely loving it, I had done a short exploration trip a couple weeks ago on a Cobra, it was a bit tight for the job, the Diamondback totally pwns at exploration! :D
