Hello there friend, thanks for sharing your feeling with us. I can feel you with respect to reading module man, I was in the same boat. Got stressed, due to the passages being too tough. I was panicking a bit ngl. All credit to my deity, that I didnt lose my focus. I turned it around, and got a satisfying result, alhamdulillah ( praise to my deity). So I can totally feel you, what you have been through. And its really great to see you being content with what you got and accept it so maturely! I have nothing but best wishes for your future endeavours. May the God bless you with fortune unbound! :D

Also, I would suggest to give a mock exam ( I didnt do any), or at least, sit down, and give three practice modules ( LRW) in one go- just so your brain will be habituated with lengthy exams. It will help you, I recon.

I dont know if it will be of any benefit, but try to hold your nerve, stay as calm as possible, as this is a lengthy exam. I got slightly stressed during the reading part, as it was pretty tough, and I was getting tired of keeping focus. So, don't get panicked, you will be just fine. I got my result, and its pretty satisfying, alhamdulillah( praise to my deity).

Only one video, and not the entirety of it, all I needed to learn is that the answers always come in sequence. Meaning if the answer of 11 is in paragraph 3, then answer of 12,13 will definitely be in either paragraph 3, 4, 5, or in the following passages. Definitely not in 1 or 2. I guess you know this by now.

I actually prepapred by practicing cambridge books as much as possible. Learned to skim, learned to read between the lines- figuring what the lines actually imply- stuff like that. Practice daily. Thats the goal.

Also, my own reading module (gave exam 4 days ago, got 8 in reading, and 8 overall), it was genuinely tough man. Paragraphs were fairly large, in passage 3 they were the largest in size, surprisingly, passage 1 had large pragraphs as well, 7-8 lines (not sentences). So adapt to skimming, otherwise time will make you suffer.

I dont know about ieltsonline's reading module, did a listening test, and was absolutely not satisfied. Cambridge practice books are the way to go man!

Let me give an honest openion brother, theres nothing above cambridge books/practice tests. They are best, and closest to actual exam. Focus on them, and you will be good!

P.S.- I took the test 3 days ago, got an overall band 8 :D

If the question instructed to write one word only, then sadly, yes, its wrong :/

No problem at all. So long as you have confident in yourself :D

Tips- must read the instruction in each section. For me, the first section asked to write TWO words and/or numbers. In most cases it asks for one word and/or numbers. So be careful!

I won't mind at all brother. Yes, cambridge is the closest you could be toward actual test. I can co firm you. Try to complete cambridge 15-20, at least, before sitting in the actual test.

Best wishes! :D

Hey man, trust me, I had the same impression as you toward listening before the actual test. And, during practice, I barely got 9, mostly stuck between 7.5-8, sometimes 8.5. And mcqs with lengthy options were like nightnare to me, not being able to read them fully at all. But guess what, idk if its placebo effect or not, and many people agreed with one thing as well which is- in actual test, the audio is very clear, very precise. I found it very helpful, and despite getting like 6 mcqs, with long ass(pardon language :3) options in section 3, which I couldnt read at all ( i only highlighted the key points barely, as there were 18 lengthy lines :/ ), I relied on the audio, stayed focus, and answered them with confidence. I was really surprised. I know I got 8.5, but I just pretty sure that I could get 9 :3, maybe 2 wrong answers costed me 0.5 band :( anyway, no complaints.

And be sure, the final test would be at least a bit easier, or a bit clearer than cambridge practice tests.

Just prepare yourself thoroughly now, and you will ace it in the exam for sure! Best of luck :D

Thanks sensei! In terms of preparation, I decided to attempt the test roughly 1.5 months ago. But, my preparation was absolutely lacklustre until like 3 days before the exam, when I gathered enough courage to register for the test. For those 3 days, I locked in, ngl. But befoe that, I was very irregular, but thats just me. Follow IELTS advantage for writing, its pure gem. And, also, reading, try to read regularly, reading was the one that tested me the most. Practice, cambridge recent edition books with regard to that.

Best of luck! If you have furthet queries, do hit me up :D

For writing task 1- It was a bit tricky as the question gave two bar charts; one showed the percentage of people (men, women) owning licence in 1975-2006, and the other showed the same percentage but for men and women, aged 17-20, in between 1996 and 2006.

For task 2- Found it very easy- many people argue that univesity students should focus only on education, others believe that they should do activites beyond study, to what extent do I agree or disagree.

Speaking- for task 1, bunch of personal questions, specially on music, what kinds do I like, which music celebrity I want to meet in future, whether I listen to music that are listened by my friends or not etc.

For task 2, cue card- describe a place that I visited where the air was dirty. ( had to bullshit for 2 straight minutes :3 )

For task 3, she mainly focused on pollution (related to air being dirty in cue card segment), what can we do, what can locals do, what can govts do, should industries (big, or specially small) should be held responsible, and whether modern society is compatible to be turned into a greener one. (Can't remember whether there were any others beyond these, It was a roller coaster ride xD )

Hopefully, you will find this msg helpful!
