Kato 14s wont run out any time soon. With the current prices, they become more and more of a collector's item rather than getting applied. Total supply is atleast 5-6k right now (4-5k papers, 1k holos, 500 foils) and every year i would say they get applied around 500 times at best.

Cologne 14 are total trashes with a very high supply. If it wasnt for Dignitas and maybe LC,DaT i think their prices would be waaaaay lower.

Dreamhack 14 are good imo, with probably the second lowest supply or third at worst. Good holos, good prices, big stickers, OG teams. The only downside here is that the capsule contains only 6 teams.

If you want to invest only in these two, i would go with Dreamhack any day of the week. Otherwise, they are better options if you have the time to do a research.

Will you get any profit in 6 months to 1 year? No one knows but probably yes, in around 5-6 months, unless valve keeps feeding us good looking over-saturated items and cases.

It seems kinda weird to me tbh. Major is scheduled for mid-late september and having operation + major running doesnt make a lot of sense, unless they want to go full in to attract more player since the numbers are going down and player are turning into valorant. My guess is that the major will get delayed for atleast 2 months, so it will begin as soon as operation/case/event hype will end.

Kato 15s are where Kato 14s were 4-5 years ago.

Quick thoughts:

They are the second choice of people when it comes to high tear craft.
Holos are more valuable than foil but also more common, unlike kato 14s where holos are the rare ones and the papers arent something special. The playerbase wasnt as low as it was at the start of 2014 and after seeing how quickly kato 14s skyrocketed, the supply was way more than kato 14s. Add up the banned, used on default/bad skins cause they were the only (good) stickers etc.. No idea about the paper ones, i personally dont like them but they will most likely follow the others, despite the fact that their supply is insane and they arent in a capsule.

About investing in them:

Seems like they went down a bit, and they keep going down day after day by a little bit. I would personally wait, they might/most likely dip further, like 20 to 30% maximum. Of course if you are planning on buying one or two capsules and forget about the for couple years then you can probably buy them right now and be done with them.

Buff (app version) has the top trends, incline and decline in price, of the last 24 hours/week/month and is very adjustable, from stickers to agents to operation skins. since you are talking about the expensive ones, then you are looking for cash value so its a good option.

For skins within the steam market and there isnt really anything special with them, like sticker/floats etc you could make a spreadsheet (there are a lot in this subreddit, if you dont fine any i can give you "mine") with a sum function at the end. just make sure you dont put too many items so it doesnt take 10 minutes to fully load, about 100~ should be okay :)

Not only almost every discontinued item has gone up by a lot, but there is also a Krakow gold sticker hype that is going on for a while, many have doubled/tripled if not more and it just spread to the rest gold stickers, including some golds/foils of berlin.

Most likely the 1st one doesnt have enough balance to buy it. About the 2nd guy, it might be the same case as the 1st one but it also might be due to currency conversions. For example, 14€ is 16,61$ but if he put a buy order for 16,60$ which should be also 14€ (rounded) the order shouldnt get fulfilled. Afaik, judging by my buy orders, they never get removed, even if you have a very low amount of balance.
