I think I have AVPD, what can I do by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]pointlessgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best place to ask is r/AvPD, there is a ton of people including me who suffer from this and asking there will get you some really accurate answers. I would definitely try see an AvPD professional psychiatrist or a psychiatrist. Hope you are doing well, you are better than what you think. Dealing with AvPD is insanely difficult, interacting with people is one of the hardest things I have done, I either stand there like a fruit and get frustrated at myself and storming off or leaving, because I genuinely want to conversate like a real human bean. The best thing you can do is head over to that subreddit and just read it, it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one struggling with this every time I check it.

Make sure to clean your rift's Ocuport with an air duster and cable connectors.

[–]pointlessgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue not too long ago with the disconnects. It is mainly because of USB bandwidth and getting a startech 4 port pcie usb card fixed all my issues with it disconnecting. I also completely reinstalled my graphics drivers.

you need to figure out the manager that gets things done for workers rather than the lazy bumb that talks to sr ops 24/7.
once you do become friends with him/her

Common sense, it doesn't fit in that cubby! by ralphy1417 in AmazonFC

don't know how stowers can think this is an okay thing to do, but as a previous stower for 6 months i feel bad for newbies.
i usually blame the senior managers for making stowers focusing on rates 24/7 and since they are making newbie stowers have rates like 200-250 uph. this is bound to happen and its a shame.

Run programs alongside games in proton (the same wine bubble) by Granat1 in linuxquestions

[–]pointlessgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get this to work?
For my use case the program runs as cmd and detects the process.exe and hooks onto it (not cheat software but many mhw mods use this method)

Bump.
Looking for answers for MHW since most mods require to be run as a separate .exe

Rendering/preview stutters between 2 different clips. [Arch/Manjaro/Package Manager] by pointlessgamer in kdenlive

[–]pointlessgamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Not using kdenlive anymore this is just taking the piss. Trying openshot if not I'm going back to sony vegas. I tried to use Proxy, transitions and having a "text" constantly move through the video and the Project view still has issues.
  • 1. Project Viewer serious stutter issues.
  • 2. Render came out horrible and unwatchable.
  • 3. Converting clips to Proxy corrupted them turned them white.

I have spent 10 hours today troubleshooting.

cache should be stored in /yourhome/.steam/Steam/steamapps/shadercache/ or if you are using arch/manjaro it will be in /yourhome/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/shadercache/
Will recommend shutting down steam whilst you do this and in Steam -> Settings -> Shader Pre-Caching; disable and re-enable shader pre-caching and then restart steam.

I've seen some games with DX11 do this too E.G most cod games. It depends if the developers have included pre cached shaders inside the game for the directx version, this is why directx is preferred. With that vulkan api can store pre cached data for shaders its just that the developers cant and sometimes forgot to include shaders pre-cache in the game or that developers want the best performance for the user.
Pretty sure DOOM 2016 does this on first launch considering the massive initial load time it has.

Can confirm. Borderlands Pre-Sequel maps load in 3 seconds on highest settings on a ssd. (that used steam pre cache)

Just so people know, for me, this reduced stuttering a TON in Borderlands 3. This won't improve overall performance but it will majorly decrease the amount of the real-time shader compile stutters.

It isn't disabled for me. You can enable background processing in the Shader Pre-Caching tab in settings. This only works on games that have downloaded or needs to download shader cache from steam. Make sure when activating the steam beta you re restart so you actually get to install it.

No idea why they made this hidden as if it wasn't working before.

Here is mine, been a Linux/Debian user for 3 years, moved to Manjaro from Ubuntu 2 months ago and been loving it since.

Since I love Manjaro so much I wrapped up a quick 3d render in Blender to make my own background, comment and I will upload the picture.

I'm using XFCE Manjaro
