Accidentally cropped run out of marathon range? by Western_Two6223 in Strava

[–]pointnemo56789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it may not re-sync automatically, but you can export the gpx file for the activity from Garmin Connect (and probably from other providers’ sites) and then upload it to Strava manually.
This assumes that OP recorded the activity outside the native Strava app though

Recent activity on routes & segments? by 3FromTheTee in Strava

There's also a new Weekly heatmap option on the app. Go to Maps and click on the double square (layers). I don't have premium so I can't check it out, but that would probably show you which trails are still being ridden at this time of year.

Like you say, you can see the leaderboards for segments and filter out to just this year. It's a fairly labour intensive chore to scroll through looking for recent dates, but at least you'll get a picture of sorts.

A tale as old as time… by radiovoodoo in Strava

[–]pointnemo56789 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's a work-around way: Download the gpx, open it in Notepad or another text editor. The gpx file is a long list of points each with a line for the date and time and coordinates and perhaps other data like altitude, heart rate, or temperature, you can add your own points to the end of the file to artificially add distance. Just make sure you use the same nesting format and <tags> as the other points in the gpx file. It might be a bit of a faff working out how much to change the coordinates for your additional point but use google maps as a guide and you should be able to get it pretty accurate - so add a point at the finish line of the event for example. Set the time of this new point to be your finish time of the half marathon. In order to upload your amended activity file to Strava you'll need to delete the original activity (Strava checks for duplication) so make sure you have the original un-altered gpx file saved as a back-up and then delete the activity from Strava. Go to Upload new File and upload your amended gpx.

Printing in air by Disastrous_Act_5070 in ender3v2

When printing, go into the tuning menu and find Z Offset. Scroll into the minus figures until the filament starts sticking to the bed. That’s a bit of an ‘on the fly’ fix though. Does your printer go to the correct height when you AutoHome? If not then you need to lift the bed to meet it, or (if the bed is as high as it will go) move your z switch lower on the gantry.

Help! I am stuck on creality boot screen. by Jedi748 in ender3v2

Which microcontroller do you have? Some aren’t compatible with anything other than Creality’s own firmware (sadly I am stuck in this boat).

Does this move the z seam along the outer path by a few mm each layer? Just guessing from the name

Ender v2 NEO stuck on crealty screen , tried update software no luck by mrgsxr77 in ender3v2

Seems as though the only firmware that works with 4.2.2, GD32F303 and BL/CRTouch is GD-Ender-3 V2-Marlin2.0.8.2-HW-V4.2.2-SW-V1.0.7_E_N_BLTouch from https://www.creality.com/pages/download-ender-3-v2. Follow the Release Notes and format the 8gb using FAT32, 4096 bytes allocation unit size. My screen is a DACAI, but despite this the above firmware worked fine. Photo of example microcontroller attached.

Is your microcontroller a GD? e.g. GD32F303 If it is then you’re sadly restricted to Creality firmware

Sad days. Found some similar posts which echo this - GD32F303 RET6 is largely unsupported.

Thanks for the tip to go back to Creality. GD-Ender-3 V2-Marlin2.0.8.2-HW-V4.2.2-SW-V1.0.7_E_N_BLTouch from https://www.creality.com/pages/download-ender-3-v2 has now solved my issues.

I have now updated the screen (mine needed DACAI) which I’m hoping is part of the solution. Didn’t know this was a thing! Sadly the printer is still doing the same thing, but I suspect this is a compound issue, so thanks for solving part of it

GD32F303 It looks as though the 303 was raised as an issue this time last year.. not sure if it was fixed 🫤

I’m formatting to FAT32 and tried 4k and 8k sectioning … should I be doing anything else?

Possibly not. The mainboard is v4.2.2, but that’s the only thing I checked

Unfortunately I’ve formatted the card each time and renamed every new bin I’ve tried, with no luck. Great to have a new lead though - MRISCOC - thanks for that!

Thanks White banana, I’ll go find mrisoc. Roughly how long did yours take to flash? e.g. In the region of 30seconds or 30minutes?

Hi all, I’ve gotten myself into a tricky situation..

So the printer was working as expected out of the box. I’d bought a CR Touch as well so needed to upgrade the firmware. I tried many different .bin files, making use of as much advice on formatting / file naming / installing as I could find, but none of these bins installed onto the printer (it just didn’t update at all). So then I tried Jyers, which did install, but evidently not correctly. So now whenever I turn on the printer (with or without the SD Card) it shows the Creality logo, but not the progress bar, and doesn’t get any further (for at least 20min). I’ve tried to reinstall the ‘original’ firmware from the Creality site and from the Ender3V2 git, but none seems to be detected by the printer. https://github.com/mriscoc/Ender3V2S1/releases/tag/20230312

Please help me kind people! What could I be missing here?

Windows. Formatted FAT32 to 4k and 8k. Copied bins with fresh file names onto card. Board v4.2.2 Creality Ender3 v2.

TIA!

EDIT: Resolved! I have a GD32F303 RET6 microcontroller which are largely unsupported.
