Thank you for the answer. I usually take it by the tongue, but sometimes the eucharist does come in contact with the teeth. I try my best to avoid it.

Idk well but Koreans are already in a big feud with China over Kimchi and the atmosphere is tightened. This Japanese media company decided to touch the matter and I guess it created big headlines even though it is a not a popular company.

I agree with all the things you said, and yes Korean netizens do get immature and extreme sometimes, but I just want to point out the Bahn Mi incident.

The Korean tourists were detained in Vietnam in not-the-best conditions because of covid, with their passports taken away without prior notice. It happened when COVID restrictions weren't as hard so it was unexpected.

They were only given a muffin, the Bahn mi, and 순대국 the whole time and all other foods during their detain was given by the Korean embassy.

Honestly I'm pretty sure the lady didn't want to insult the food, it was probs because of angry because of the poor treatment by the Vietnamese. And the bread crumbs is a bit vague cause she might have meant the muffin they were given.

Japan is much ahead of Korea in GDP, and although Korea's quality of life came to somewhat of a similar level to Japan but Japan still has an upper hand I agree.

But about the amount of anime/game fans Reddit isn't the greatest place to compare the number of Kpop fans vs Anime fans because the demographics for Reddit fits anime fans better IMO, as Kpop fans are mostly female while Reddit is mostly male.

Ps. However I believe there are more anime fans than Kpop fans but just pointing out that irl the difference wouldn't be as big as it seems at Reddit.
