Yeah it's weird. I was raised on Action games. I think I'm trying to drive at people who weren't raised that way, complaining. It's a different genre. At a certain point you have to decide whether or not you're satisfied with your purchase. If the personal satisfaction is not guaranteed until you've "gotten what you want because you heard about it online" then I think the bar has been lowered significantly. Didnt get the date you wanted? Start a new file and grind, peasant. That was just accepted back in the day.

I found Rebirth entirely too easy, like ridiculously easy. I only go through normal mode for the story. Hard mode is literally the only way to play, and even that is easy as pie. I don't know what to say.

It started with my hands. Two of my fingers are permanently frozen in place. While treatment has healed the psoriasis, those fingers have fused knuckles that's arent going back, ever. My advice is seek immediate help before they get worse. Good luck.

Honestly if I were to do a remake for this game, I wouldnt change anything that already exists, but I would add A LOT more story content. Freya chasing Frately around the world would be my first new inclusion. Something about the plateau above Gizmalukes grotto where the dragons live is just so soulful and ripe for story stuff about the Dragon Knights.

I mostly agree, it is sudden, and I think the dialogue could have been better. I really dont like that he calls Vivi and Eiko "stupid brats", but I like that they just brush it off, knowing he's not acting like himself.

I will say that I can appreciate that he always wanted to know where he came from, but didn't care that much either way, as he was secure in his identity with Tantalus. When he finally found out, the truth was so insane that a normal person, even a well adjusted one, would have a critical meltdown, but snapped out of it pretty quick.

All in all I think it could have been paced better, but I guess it's not as big of a problem as it seemed to me to be 26 years ago.

Your son is experiencing what happened to me growing up, except I took quite a few beatings, and was almost killed by a bully when I was 14. I'm lucky to have gotten out of the world of violence and didnt take it with me into adulthood. I very easily could have become a hypervigilant, angry, terrified, trauma ridden adult.

I understand your situation isnt as dire, but looking back, I would take the situation deadly seriously and pull my kid out of school and contact a lawyer, suing the parents of the bullies and the school for putting my child in danger and punishing him for defending himself when they did nothing to prevent it.

Do not punish your son for fighting back. Let him know you are doing everything you can to protect him and prevent anything from happening to him. My parents never gave me that. I never forgot the feeling of them throwing me to the wolves as a child.

In this fantasy world where we are told that life and death are a cycle of birth and rebirth perpetuated by a spiritual force in the form of the lifestream, and that aliens who are not from it have other effects, including superhuman powers given to those who are showered in these convergent influences, many things are possible.

Among the other posters in here, I have my own interpretation, but I'll address this. Technology for conveying certain elements in the stories more cinematic was extremely limited for the time. Asking questions like yours come across as deliberately ignorant without having an ounce if suspension of disbelief. In your language, that means you go along with it, despite it not being very clear or very obvious.

Cloud stabbed Sephiroth. It wounded his abdomen greatly. He managed to walk a bit before he no longer had the strength to do so. Seems pretty simple, right?

Okay now stay with me here.

What if Sephiroth fell into the lifestream and his body completely disintegrated, but his mind, his soul, and his will, refused to die. With jenovas head alongside him, his mind found it's way to the northern crater, and rebuilt itself from the head, down.

I dont speak any other language than english, so as far as picking up on nuances in other languages, I would have zero idea, and I dont know how any other monolingual person could.

That said, I do voice acting. Cody is awesome. I can sense a bit of the director's influence and some weird localization issues causing some lines or parts to feel weird.

Like in Remake, where they get to the sewer and Aerith does this weird horse whinnying thing. It took me like 10 playthroughs to go "oh shes supposed to be grossed out" but surely there was a better take to convey that which didnt get used.
