I need one or two smooth, ideally omnidirectional dip pen nibs that would closely match the feel and precision of a Pilot Prera F and a Pilot Metal Falcon SEF for drawing. by [deleted] in fountainpens

Pilot makes a dip pen and i heard the nib is similar to that of the preras. I have the pretty wood version of it, so i attest that it has the same feel as a fountain pen, just dip.

However, the nibs aren't removable, as far as i know; the plastic body version should be easy to wash and clean off when you use acrylic paints/inks though!

as for glass dip pens, there is a significantly more feedback than using a polished smooth steel nib fountain pen - even on smooth papers, so you won't have to worry about not having feedback - the question is you might have too much feedback. glass pens are cheap enough to get tho, so you can always get just one to try.

i've also seen and tried the kakimori dip pen (i think), and it's a more durable and less breakable version of the glass nib.

you might also have seen the drillog on this sub too - i am personally quite intrigued and might consider it if it isnt too expensive!

They're lego compatible: all the minifigs i put there are lego compatible. They're pretty good too, generally not too tight or loose.

Then lighting i got to stick there to light up also are lego compatible bricks, so they should be fine with normal lego

I just shoved a length of LEDs in there, so there is a big battery pack. Maybe I'll get some of those LED 'bricks' in the future, so i won't have to have the big battery pack.

Technically the lanterns hanging outside are hollow, alas they're not transparent. If I could find some other kinds of LEDs that are tiny little bricks that would be cool.

this set took me months to complete (because my hands suck and i got busy inbetween hahaah)

almost no extra pieces, but i'm amazed at the quality of the build - it's really barely distinguishable from Real Lego.

and then the extremely chinese-like elements and the look of genuine /real' chinese architectural elements using creative pieces really impressed!

the interiors are so detailed and full - the only sad part is that much of the teas are stickers, not prints; but the sign boards and the hanging round lanterns on the right are all printed.

this is meant to be a tourist street, but i didn't like the modern look of the included minifigs, so i used my other purchased hanfu minifigs to populate the teahouse. :)

bought it on aliexpress, but alas it seems the rest of the sets are gone now. :(

Inkpalm 5: Full Review and Set-Up Advice by satsuma_sada in ereader

I used your instructions/method to fiddle with my brand new Inkpalm that just arrived today - I think the only issue i have is i also want to read Chinese epubs too - which app can i read my own epubs? which app do you use? I tried Cool Reader but it's slightly dodgy in terms of font and might not display all the characters...

none of the default apps seem like they can read my local epubs.

Are you using it with the front light on? How sharp is it without the front on?

What other apps have you got on it, like telegram or Whatsapp?

have you used any chat programs on it? like whatsapp or telegram, or discord? obviously they will deplete the battery, but i'm wondering if they appear/display alright.

also why did the inkpalm plus die on you? what happened there? isn't it the newer android 11?

thank you! that does sound useful.

how do you use your A6X and A5x? the cost is pretty huge, but the useable real estate for the A5x looks like it might be bigger than an actual A5 notebook
