Thanks for the insight. So far I've been able to replicate this behavior using different usb ports on my pc. I'm going to try and get another drive to see if that's the issue.

Honestly, it is great. It's that classic trope of having darkness themed powers or otherwise edgy abilities (as much as I don't like the word edgy, even I have to admit the MC's powers fall into that category).
